Brown Play School

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Brown Play School! This is our third year as a BPS family, with two children having attended, and it has been an incredible experience from day one. What sets this preschool apart is how truly special it feelsl. The small teacher-to-child ratio means our children receive individual attention and care that has helped them flourish. The teachers genuinely know and love each child, and you can feel that connection every single day. The Reggio Emilia-inspired approach creates such a rich learning environment. Beyond the excellent foundation in early childhood education, our children have benefited from wonderful enrichment activities woven right into the curriculum, such as yoga, woodworking, and music class, that spark creativity and confidence. The sense of community here is outstanding. We’ve built lasting friendships with other families, and there’s a real partnership between parents and teachers. Our children have grown so much academically, socially, and emotionally during their time here. If you’re looking for a preschool that will treat your child as an individual, foster their natural curiosity, and provide a truly loving environment, Brown Play School is it. We feel so fortunate to be part of this community!

We had a wonderful experience at Brown Play School. My soon-to-be 5-year-old just finished up her second year at BPS and wishes we could send her back for a third! The BPS curriculum, which is rooted in Reggio-Emilia, has empowered her to find and express her creativity. The teachers put a tremendous amount of thought into every project... we especially love the art studio and now have a collection of special creations that we will be saving forever. BPS fostered our daughter’s natural curiosity, emphasized her ability to learn through play, and helped her to better collaborate with other children. Her experience at Brown Play School has made us confident that she is exceptionally well-prepared for kindergarten. We can’t wait to send her little brother there next year!

Both of my girls attended BPS, and it will always hold a special place in our hearts. The caring teachers, the thoughtful curriculum, and the community create something truly magical. Brown Play School is truly such a special place. The love and attention the teachers give to each student is like nothing I’ve seen before, and the Reggio Emilia structure has allowed our child to not only prepare for elementary school, but find new interests in art, music, yoga, and woodworking.
