Brookline Kids Preschool At Brookline

Our child attended Brookline Sprouts for 7 months, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. He was frequently hurt by other children, and his behavior worsened significantly during his time there. Since moving to a smaller, better-supported preschool, his behavior has improved dramatically. The large class size (20+ kids) and lack of adequate adult supervision were major concerns. We also noticed safety issues, like thumbtacks near toys, and communication with staff was poor throughout. At a higher price point than many other preschools, the care and support did not meet expectations. We were extremely sad to unenroll our child because we wanted him to graduate from the place he started preschool, but his safety is number one priority. It breaks my mom heart any time he brings up stuff about this facility. He literally stated to me "Mom I am happier at my new school, the kids don't hurt me." He even told me children (always the same kids being disruptive) were throwing toys at him frequently, another child cut holes on the back of my son's shirt, kicking and punching him, and a little girl "stomped on my balls" as my son put it. Yeah I am not thrilled and will not send any of my other children to this facility.

This is not the place you want to send your child, especially if they have special needs. I pulled my son out due to discrimination and mistreatment. My son is on the spectrum and has never had behavioral problems prior to starting at this facility. I repeatedly received messages regarding his poor behavior in which my husband, our son’s therapist and myself put in place plans of action to stop the behavior. Little did we know, children in his class had been putting their hands on our child, yelling in his face and openly excluding him from play and activities, which we were never informed about. This was reported to us by a concerned therapist and when confronted, a staff member admitted to children mistreating our son. If I could give this place a zero, I would! The entire facility also smells of rotten food, it’s very off putting and disgusting.

My grandson has been going to Brookline Sprouts for the past two years and he absolutely loves it ! The teaching staff goes out of their way to make learning fun and show great patience with those children that may just need “a little” more attention . They genuinely care for each child and it shows when I see my grandson smiling at the end of each day with them. I can not thank them enough for the amazing work they have done with my grandson and it will be a sad day when he heads to kindergarten next year. But thanks to the great teaching staff, I know that they provided a great foundation for him to have a successful kindergarten transition .

All 3 of my kids have attended Brookline Sprouts for preschool and now attend the school age programming. We love it. The teachers and staff love the kids. The food is nutritious and kid friendly. They have incredible opportunities for the kids like Touch a Truck, Fire Safety, Officer Joe bike safety, attending the Roving Art Cart, etc. They are constantly improving the center. When my child started Kindergarten she had a huge head start in school because they used the same curriculum for learning their letters! It helped with the transition too because that was something she was familiar with. We loved the winter concert and they had a super cute graduation ceremony. Seeing the kids perform their songs was just adorable 🥰. I LOVE the communication platform. Throughout the day I am kept up to date with their activities and the teachers post pictures. ❤️ I am so thankful for Brookline Sprouts! They have made such a positive impact in our lives.

I HIGHLY recommend this Preschool and After School Program! My kids and I ABSOLUTELY love it here! The staff are friendly and pleasant. They are very engaged with the children and truly love and care about them! They look at each child individually and understand that they have unique needs! They believe that no child is bad but they make good or bad choices; They encourage the children to make good choices and teach them what that looks like! They make sure the children are safe in multiple ways and they also make sure that the environment around them is safe! The activities the children participate in are fun and educational! They also have special activities, events, visitors, and Holiday/Seasonal parties throughout the year! There are a lot of things that they do here that have a positive impact for not only the children but also for the families of the children!
