Brightside Academy Ohio

My daughter has been attending daycare here for over a year and we haven’t had a bad experience yet. The staff is so kind and caring towards my daughter and I- we are greeted with a hello and a smile each time we come in and my daughter loves it & the staff. I also love that they actually have a curriculum they follow and my daughter actually learns something each day instead of playing or sleeping allday. Would definitely recommend!

If you have any other options for your children’s care, please pick any other facility. My son was extremely neglected by the providers at Clever Bee academy. After three days I removed him from their ‘care’. My son came home starving and dehydrated every day. I found out that he, despite me informing the provider and marking it on the paperwork for the teacher, was not receiving any assistance with eating or drinking. In addition to the lack of care regarding nutrition. The director informed the teacher that I needed to bring a sippy cup for my son and instructed her to use a facility cup. I had provided two bottles for him and yet they were not used. The director lied to my face and said the teacher couldn’t find them. I had to request they give my son water. This should be obvious or mentioned that they do not provide water automatically. He came home on the last day with a case of pink eye. I informed the daycare via email and voicemail that my son would no longer be attending and that I was requesting that they not charge my card for any additional week. Two days later on Friday they charged my card for $295. Tammy (the director) has not responded to my email or called me back to explain why I am being charged when no service will be provided. My son has been emotionally traumatized. I expected women who were paid to care for children to do just that, care. Sadly, I was sorely mistaken. Please do not bring your children here they do not care.

Terrible management from Tammy. Ever since taking over things have gone from bad to worse. No communication, not reliable. Can’t maintain any of her good staff. Was told the company doesn’t even care because they’re trying to maximize their profit. I was promised a curriculum for my kids and nothing. Nothing to prove nothing to show. Kids are getting dumber being here. Just awful

I have been bringing my kids to Brightsode for about a year now. I have 4 out of my 5 children who go here and all are in different rooms. My pre-schooler already knows his ABC, has letter recognition, can count up to 15, knows his colors, and has incredible manners. My Pre-K child has anxiety really bad and they work with her special needs. They also do transportation for my 2 schoolagers at no additional cost. The workers do HW and do different activities keep them busy. I love the workers and they are great!!!

I am a proud parent of a student at The Brightside Academy-Frederick campus located in Akron, Ohio. I have been pleased with the A-1 services since day 1. It is the good-will and cheerfulness of the Administration Team, Teachers and Staff that continue to handle the difficult and demanding tasks without a fuss to make sure our babies are safe, secure and learned.
