My kids are doing great at this location and they love their teachers. Of course they have random staff at times because people are lazy and don’t want to work but the business shouldn’t be held accountable for this. I appreciate them my daughter did not talk before going to this daycare and she is doing wonderful. Signed Tiauna

Hazelwood/Squirrel hill location. Honestly a bad place. If I could it would get no stars. I'm sure they will take this down but I will keep reposting it! Rotating door of teachers. Most of them are temps. Only 2 truly great teacher's there. Inconsistent drop off hours in the morning, I found myself waiting an hour to drop my son off. Most of the time you still have to wait 15 to 20 minutes to drop off because they just don't have teachers or they dont bother to show up on time. Never know how his day was because he would move between so many teachers and noone would fill out a daily sheet or even tell me if he ate or not. My breaking point was when he had a decent size cut on his head with evidence that it was bleeding and not once person could tell me what happened. Very frustrating. While I blame some of the teachers for their lack of attention, it also has alot to do with the lack of management and support from the company. Do not believe the photos on their Facebook page if you look, its all for the Philadelphia PA location. The hazelwood/ sq hill location does not do anything like the Philly daycare. I honestly feel bad for parents who dont have any other options but to still use this center. Save yourself the aggravation and look else where.

As a parent, I am extremely pleased with my child's experience at kindergarten. The teachers and staff have created an environment that has greatly supported my child's growth and development. My daughter came to the kindergarten as a non-resident with no English experience. The teachers genuinely care about the well-being and progress of my daughter. They provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making my daughter feel comfortable and safe in their care. A big thank you belongs to the Director of Brightside Academy at Hazelwood Avenue. She is doing her job with heart and welcomed us very warmly. They are doing a great job. I would highly recommend this kindergarten to any parent looking for a nurturing, inclusive, and play-based learning environment for their child.

I cant even begin to explain the amount of life and learning skills my daughter has acquired in this daycare! For a full time working family, its very hard to make sure your child is getting all of the proper knowledge taught to them on a daily basis, but brightside covers all angels. Not to mention how much love is shown for the staff, you can tell all the teachers really enjoy there jobs! Every day she goes in with joy for a few specific teachers that oversee her, whom she is always excited to see and spend time with. I have only ever had positive interactions with the front office, the classrooms are clean, and my child comes home everyday with an exciting story and a smile! Thanks brightside for continuously great child care!

We have had two children enrolled in Brightside-Squirrel Hill over the past 5 years. Currently, one child attends the summer camp, and the second is a toddler. As a parent, my chief concern has always been the safety of my children, and the staff at Brightside have always kept my children safe. Moreover, the teachers there are diligent in their all their efforts, be it teaching, story time, music time, hand washing etc. Our pre-schooler received a structured, and quality head start before entrance into Kindergarten. Upon dropping off or picking up, at no time have I witnessed staff distracted; they have always been engaging the children. Moreover, both my children have cultivated relationships with their caretakers that I’m sure they will remember into adulthood. My wife and I owe the staff at Brightside-five years ago to present-our sincerest thanks. I recommend Brightside to any parent.
