What Parents Say
Bright World Preschool (now operating as Pilgrim Learning Academy) receives universal 5-star ratings from parents who praise the caring, experienced staff and nurturing environment. Parents highlight successful transitions for young children, strong academic and social development, well-organized facilities, and excellent value for the services provided.
My daughter started at Pilgrim Learning Academy when she was just 2 years old, and she has been very happy there for the past two years. The teachers are all amazing and truly know how to handle young children with patience, care, and love. Ms. Shelly, who runs the school, does a wonderful job creating a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for the kids. The school strongly focuses on teaching good behavior along with a well-structured curriculum that helps children become confident and well prepared for kindergarten. We have seen great growth in our daughter, both academically and socially. I highly recommend Pilgrim Learning Academy to any parent looking for a caring and supportive learning environment for their child.
All my three kids went to (one is currently enrolled) this school (they were previously known as bright world preschool). They were and still are the best in town offering best value for what they are charging for. As soon as we were made aware that they were reopening after pandemic, we immediately moved my kids over from another school. They deserve a better enrollment. Family run and they have proven themselves over years of services. Strongly recommended.
I’ve had a bad experience with a previous daycare. I was skeptical about sending my son who was 2 years old to any day care but I needed him to mingle with other kids his own age. My husband and I searched around and found pilgrim learning academy. We hoped for the best as we sent him. The school has a beautiful space both outdoor and indoor. Everything is well organized and we get pictures of what the kids do occasionally which is very nice to see. The teachers are lovely and the kids are friendly saying hi when they see you. We started off sending him 3 times a week. He cried all three days in the first week. I spoke with Miss Mary his lovely class teacher on how quickly kids adjust to the new environment and she mentioned in her experience, kids that do full week adjust quicker. He did a full week the second week and by the end of the week., he no longer cried. He did not even want to come home when being picked up. He improved in vocabs. and started getting involved with other kids even when we go to church. Something he wasn’t doing previously. Overall I love love pilgrim learning academy and we are so happy we started him there.
Shelly and the leadership of this school are second to none. They are warm, kind, and have more experience than any other school in the area. We found them 3 years ago for our first daughter. Our second daughter goes here now and is loving her experience too. We highly recommend Pilgrim and its lovely staff to anyone.
My boys have been attending PLA for almost a year now. We are beyond pleased with the service they have provided us. One is in the younger classroom and the older one is with the Pre-K aged children. The facility divides the younger ones from the PK aged kids into separate rooms. In the afternoon they combine the children into one room so they can all play together. They have a large play area outside with a playground and some lite gardening the kids help with. The bathroom is built for little kids which is really nice. You can choose to have lunch provided or bring your own. The staff are all involved hands on from the director to the part time staff. They are all accessible to us when we drop off or pick up and via the app during the day while the kids are there. My older son has homework he brings home weekly to practice writing his name, coloring, counting, alphabet etc. and they also do that practice while at school. I have a giant pile of schoolwork they have completed and brought home. I could go on, and can't say enough good things about the wonderful people who run PLA.
