I absolutely love this daycare. My son has a disability and they have really worked with us a lot here. We definitely work together on schedules and certain times that work best for him, but that is more than any other daycare has done for him. They are very patient and have done nothing but good for us. Thank you so much!!

Really good daycare! Staff are great! They really do care about our children! Once a month they have family nights. The children come home with really creative crafts.

My daughter has been going to this daycare since preschool now she is in 4th grade. My daughter has made many friends throughout the years here. Great daycare. The owner Mrs. McKinnley is very nice.

My children have attended this facility for almost a year. WORST YEAR OF OUR LIVES! Anyone that uses daycare to be able to work and provide for their family knows the hassle of the daycare center search. I choose this one out of desperation and convenience(located near my job). There have been many bumps in the road here including falsifying sick paperwork (verified with dr each time that they were indeed NOT sick) just to not have my children attend along with calling me while I’m at work telling me they will be understaffed the next day and requesting I keep my children home that next day all while telling me if they misbehave in any way if I bring them that I will be required to pick them up. Currently our redetermination for our childcare assistance came. It was due to be cancelled at the end of July. I received the paperwork 7/6 and submitted my paperwork via mail on July 11/12 and towards the end of the month daycare told me that the state hasn’t received it and accused me of not really sending my paperwork in. I then dropped off a new form at the office in their drop box as well as uploading that same paperwork via the action for children portal. I called and checked on my case and kept the school in the loop the entire time. The only option given by Tanya and Ms. Young were that I would have to pay $500/week to have my children attend daycare until the approval letter came. However, being an under deserving family on assistance I don’t have $500/week to give them. So I offered to pay my usual co pay and if the state determined I should pay more I would honor that and pay the difference or if I should pay less then we could credit the account. That wasn’t an option as they’re MONEY HUNGRY as all hell. So I haven’t worked in 3 weeks hindering the livelihood of my family due to this scenario. The approval letter is active as of 8/1 yet I haven’t received the paper stating that and it’s apparently required for my children to attend. However, I asked Tanya if she would call and verify like I did so I can bring my kids to daycare and she told me “if she has time” this was Thursday/Friday it’s now Tuesday! Today I called to ask Tanya if she would prorate my approved copay amount given by the state for the next 12 school days and then get back to our regular payments Sept1st. She told me that “since you chose to not pay tuition” I had to stop her mid sentence because I didn’t choose to I don’t have it again given we’re a family on assistance and she knows that because she accepts said assistance. I told her it was very unbecoming of her facility to ask that of a family on assistance instead of working with them. Then miraculously my family was kicked out of daycare and their spots were no longer available. (My cousin called asking if there was space available and they stated YES!!!). She threatened to call the state herself to cancel my assistance from going to them. She stated because the months tuition wasn’t paid. The state doesn’t pay them until the end of the month anyways AND they wouldn’t allow them to attend pending a redetermination process so of course they missed considering I cannot afford full tuition as again WE’RE ON ASSISTANCE. I didn’t think that asking for a 12 day prorate at that point would cause so much turmoil but apparently I was wrong. Funny, she couldn’t manage to find the time to call to verify the approval status to get my kids in the door but can find the time to call and cancel our benefits from going to their facility. Tanya is unprofessional and doesn’t know how to deal with people always raising her voice and talking over you if they have an opinion or a suggestion other than her own. My kids came home pretending to shoot guns with their fingers and saying things like “I’ll beat your a**”. Save yourself some time and energy unless you’re unprofessional and enjoy sending your children somewhere they’re looked at as a $ sign, by all means enroll them. Otherwise, steer clear especially if you use childcare assistance to be able to work and provide.

Wow! The response to Ms. Sefovic’s comments…. We are so surprised to hear that you were dissatisfied with your children’s care at our center. We are truly sorry that the processing of your child care application did not occur in a timely manner. We do our very best to work with all families who receive child care assistance by assisting families with completing paperwork, we fax applications (receiving the confirmation fax log that the application went through) and then physically take all families applications into the Action for Children office or use their private mailbox to drop off family’s applications. This process helps to ensure that paperwork is received in a timely manner. As it was explained to you, we do not use the U.S. postal service to submit important documents to Action for Children. You and I confirmed after a few weeks had passed that your application had not been received by the child care assistance program. You still insisted on resubmitting your paperwork yourself. This resulted in further delays with the processing of your redetermination. Again, we are extremely sorry that this process was taking such a long time and we could no longer hold your children’s space at our school. We wish you and your family the absolute very best!
