We love Bright Star! We’ve had 3 kids through there and I recommend it to everyone. You can tell they truly care about the kids and their experience. They make it fun and engaging at all age levels and do a great job setting the kids up for kindergarten!
Bright Star Lynnwood has been caring for our child since he was a baby, all the way through preschool, and I have no regrets. Every class he’s been in has helped him learn and grow so much. I truly appreciate the staff and how they’re preparing him for school — from developing new skills to introducing a second language. They always have fun and engaging activities planned throughout the day. I also love the new class options like soccer and dance. Thank you for all the care and support you’ve provided!
Our family has been using Bright Star Lynnwood for 6 years. It is hands down the best day care we have come across. Everyone there takes extra care of the children and treats them with respect and dignity. Each child is greeted every morning with lots of hellos. The teachers work up detailed lessons plans so that the children are always learning through play. We appreciate all of the staff at Bright Star. There is also a very low turn over which to me means that the employees are treated fairly and actually enjoy their jobs.
Mr. Michael’s class is the best class (ages 2.5-4). His room is a wonderful place. Ms. Caitlin and Ms. Lakshmi are the two other teachers who I have had in his class and they are both so nice!!! They read the kids books before nap, or let the kids pick their own book to read on their cot. They do circle and Michael will bring cool stuff from home to show the kids and teach them about. For example camping gear and explaining what each thing does. He teaches them sign language and sings songs. He also writes very detailed daily reports. In his class they do cute little art projects and have rotating centers and he makes sure they address multiple domains of learning. The school offers a vegetarian option for meals, have live videos so you can watch your kid while they learn and play, on Friday they learn Spanish, and all classes go outside every day. They do fun activities such as the Halloween party where they decorated every classroom and the kids got to trick or treat. It is extremely clean there and they have a stable core staff, not a lot of turnover that I’ve seen in the 9mo I have been there. The staff seem like they genuinely enjoy working there, which is comforting.
My son has been going to Bright Star for over 4 years. It is amazing to see my son flourish at Bright Star. They celebrate his wins just as much as us. My son loves the water play and Spanish class. I highly recommend this daycare / preschool.
