What Parents Say
Bright Star Kid Care LLC receives highly polarized reviews with strong praise from satisfied parents highlighting caring staff, clean facility, learning environment, and personal attention, but serious concerns from other parents about security issues, facility maintenance, health/illness management, director communication, abrupt dismissals, and behavioral support policies.
Horrible vibes. I would NEVER send my child here. No security for kids, the front door was open for the public, the walkway is inaccessible for strollers or any other medical emergency. We schedule a tour for this place, took off work decided to come during nap time. when we arrived no one greeted us we had to find someone and remind them we were here for a tour, which they then proceeded to say it’s not possible today, after already getting my infant out of the car. Zero communication between director and teachers, the teachers thought the director was gone but she was in fact there. When finally wheeling my infant across all their potholes the director was walking around the facility with bottles of bleach. She had no idea who we talked to or why weren’t giving the tour. Basically she has no idea what’s going on. The facility is small and gross and teachers clearly don’t care. Truly feel like we dodge a bullet with this one after seeing the reviews I say don’t even waste your time!
My Daughter has been going to Bright Star since she was 3 Months old. Walking into the center, you can tell it's a fun learning environment. Kids are always happy, and the facility is very clean. The first thing I noticed when walking in was the lack of "daycare" smell. The sounds you hear at the center are of children laughter, and rarely a tear is shed unless it's time for my daughter to come home. We've formed great bonds with all her teachers. I love being able to walk in and feel like she's as loved there as she is at home. My daughter has learned so much in such a short amount of time. I love the extra things they do for the kids during the summer, and even the activities around Halloween, Christmas, and Easter. No other daycare in town offers quite as much as they do. We always recommend Bright Star to our friends and family for daycare needs. WE LOVE OUR BRIGHT STAR FAMILY!!!
We love and appreciate all of the staff at Bright Star who care for our most precious daughter as if she was family. We can drop her off and work all day with peace of mind knowing she is learning and growing in an environment with love and care. At the end of the day we love reading the report they send home letting us know what she learned about, ate, and what to work on at home. What a wonderful place for her to spend her childhood weekdays.
My son goes to this daycare and my son stay sick constantly. First it was hand, foot, and mouth and multiple fevers and ear infections. And stomach viruses. I had to take my son out for two weeks being that he stayed sick so much to recover with family out of town. Soon as he went back to the school he has the stomach flu. I contacted the owner (Kathy) to let her know that he went to the doctor and they stated that’s what he had. She stated quote on quote “nobody at the school is sick and she will gladly sign his paperwork for him to go somewhere else.” That is not the proper way to handle or talk to any parent in that matter for the fact of just letting her know what was going on. I would not recommend this daycare to any parent looking for their child a daycare. That was very out of line and inconsiderate. She also texted me asking did I have Covid just because I walked up to the school with a mask on. I work in a school setting as well and I’m pretty sure if I had Covid i wouldn’t have been at work or expose any other child to that if I was aware of having it in which I didn’t. Kathy the owner plays nice nasty and I writing this review to say runnnn!!! Signed 3/14/2023
My grandson attended Bright Star's VPK program for the 2018-2019 school. He did very well in Ms. Shaun's class. She made sure that her kids were more than adequately prepared in the four assessed areas that DCF requires. He is now in Kindergarten at the local public school. They do an assessment on all their K students at the beginning of the year....just a couple of weeks ago...and we were told his score was that of a child that would be finishing Kindergarten and not beginning. Ms. Shaun was an excellent teacher, who fully prepared her kids in the academic areas. The Kindergarten teacher advised that my grandson was prepared both academically and socially. Thanks Ms. Shaun (VPK teacher) and Ms. Kathy (Director).
