Bright Ideas

I’ve been waiting for the right moment to express my disappointing experience at Bright Ideas. Now that I'm established elsewhere and am realizing how much better off I am at another establishment, here I am. Bright ideas kicked my daughter out of daycare (I’m a single mom and a small business owner). The owner Shannon, decided to place my daughter into a different classroom, changing her routine, friend groups and ultimately placing her with a younger group. Without our knowledge and without any notice. When I expressed my concerns, I was met with immediate chaos and dispute. No common ground or understanding. This comes after months and months of trying to work with them on finding a good potty training routine at school. Unfortunately I was met with confrontation and an astonishing lack of discernment. I should have seen the signs when each teacher I met over the years expressed their concerns about not being payed well and treated poorly on many occasions. Again, feeling as if their feelings and opinions did not matter. Creating a massive teacher turnover. After all of this, we stayed, trusted the process. To then be insulted and torn down via letter and kicking a 3 year old out 3 weeks before the end of summer camp. Stripping her from her friends, comfort and routine and putting a single mom in a position that could have costs her the entire business she started the year prior. No free will, no room for your own concerns and a massive staff turnover. Do better. Parents need better child care.

Our daughter had a great year at Bright Ideas for pre-k! All of the staff is caring and knows each student so well. The adults are very in tune with each kid and their individual needs, and staff and owner communicate consistently and very effectively. We made great relationships with many other students and families, and always felt our girl was safe, cared for, happy, and learning all she could!

The environment is nurturing and the staff clearly love what they do! It shows in how they engage with the children with kindness, patience, and joy. Their positive attitudes create a welcoming, supportive space where our kids feel safe and excited to learn. Communication is always clear and thoughtful, and we appreciate how the school emphasizes both emotional development and readiness for independence and future academic success. Our kids have thrived here!

I cannot say enough good things about Bright Ideas. I’m a working mom and was so nervous to return to work and bring our son to daycare. Bright Ideas made the transition for me as easy as possible, and you can tell they truly love the children they care for. I was always so at ease knowing that our son was so well taken care of while I made the decision to continue working. They have an exceptional staff and maintain the best cleanliness. Sadly we had to move so we are no longer able to use Bright Ideas, but they sure did spoil us. I miss them so much, and wish we could have brought them with us.

Best day care, owners are lovely and so are the teachers. I've watched my son blossom while attending this school.
