Bright Horizons @ L Street

My son joined BH L Street at 6 months old and absolutely loved his time there. The teachers are not only amazing but also genuinely caring and loving, which gave me full confidence leaving him each day. The daycare organizes wonderful daily activities—painting, water play, sensory boxes, and more—and every evening he would come home showing off new skills he had learned. This is a joyful, safe, loving and clean daycare that I would 100% recommend.

We sent both of our kids here for several years and we absolutely loved the teachers. All the teachers were extremely loving and made sure our children felt the love and also learned to love themselves the way they are. My 5 year old boy was most recently in the kprep class with Ms. Shannda, Ms. Lucero and Ms. Eli, and previously with Ms. Kadie. Whenever he encounters difficulties in his kindergarten, he uses the tools his teachers gave him to not let it deflate him. Sometimes, it’s like I can hear the teacher’s voices when he says “Some kids like x, and others like y, and that’s okay!” We will forever be grateful our child met these teachers. Our two year old is very shy and careful, but always ran in to give Ms. Mykia, Ms. Rosa and Ms. Bridgette a big hug during dropoff. We will miss them all very much!

I had the opportunity to use Bright Horizons at L Street for drop-in daycare while traveling from out of state, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. Traveling with small children involves a lot of logistics, and I was incredibly grateful for the support I received from Mary in the administrative office. She went above and beyond to help us navigate the process, making everything feel seamless and welcoming. Her kindness and professionalism truly made a difference. This was my first visit to the facility, and it far exceeded my expectations. It was clean, secure, and thoughtfully designed. The teachers were warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about caring for children. My kids felt comfortable right away and had a wonderful time during their two days there. I’m so appreciative of Bright Horizons and their drop-in program. It gave me peace of mind during our travels and provided my children with a safe, nurturing space to learn and play. I would absolutely recommend the L Street location to anyone, whether you're local or just passing through.

We highly recommend Bright Horizons L Street for any family looking for a place for their child! As first time parents we were nervous about putting our 3 month old in daycare but she is thriving at 18 months and a big part of that of is her teachers. All of the staff and admin at L St are so thoughtful and intentional with how they engage the kids and they communicate really well with families. The center has it's own playground and offers useful resources for parents too.

Our child has truly thrived at Bright Horizons on L Street since starting at just 6 months old. The staff creates a warm, nurturing environment where every child feels valued. We’ve seen significant growth in our child’s confidence and social skills, and a great deal of care and thoughtfulness goes into each day. We highly recommend Bright Horizons to any family.
