We recently tried Bright Horizons Braker Lane for our 6 months old, and I just want to share what we went through in case it helps another family. Within the first week, our baby came home sick multiple times. It didn’t surprise me, because I saw how toys went straight from one baby’s mouth to another without being cleaned....multiple times in two weeks. Hygiene felt like an afterthought. As even members were going in the class with uncovered shoes on. What really broke us, though, was how little comfort our daughter got when she cried. She cried so hard at daycare that by the time we picked her up, she was still sobbing, and it continued for hours at home. Teachers didn’t seem to soothe her, and instead sometimes tried to force feed her while she was crying, which felt unsafe and honestly heartbreaking. I know every childcare center has germs and tough adjustment periods, but this felt like neglect of the basics: clean toys, gentle care, and comfort for babies. We pulled her out within days. Just sharing our experience so other parents can make the best decision for their little ones. May be not that bad for toddlers, but do your due diligence for Infants. I wish I had read reviews from other parents before enrolling.

Our son has been here for the better portion of a year and has received exceptional care. The caregivers and leadership have been very personable to our family. He seems to be socializing super well and always gets picked up in high spirits. They send lots of reports and photos during the day. Assuming you are able to get in, I’d highly recommend this daycare

As a dedicated healthcare professional and mother, selecting a childcare center that fosters a safe, nurturing, and emotionally supportive environment is of utmost importance. Unfortunately, my experience with this specific place of Bright Horizons network, raised significant concerns that ultimately led me to remove my child from their care. One of the first red flags was the noticeable decline in my child’s health. My child experienced frequent illnesses and an unexplained loss of weight, which alarmed me as a parent and as a nurse. The lack of consistent communication regarding my child’s well-being, coupled with delays in transferring to another center, added unnecessary stress to an already concerning situation. Additionally, my interactions with certain staff members left much to be desired. A specific encounter with a caregiver who approached me confrontationally regarding their role and responsibilities raised serious concerns about professionalism and their ability to provide compassionate care. This interaction, along with difficulty securing a meeting with the director, Devin, to address teacher-related concerns, made me question the overall management and commitment to parental communication. Cleanliness and hygiene were another area of concern. On multiple occasions, I observed unsanitary conditions, particularly in the refrigerator where I stored my child’s milk. While these issues were addressed after being reported, the fact that such conditions existed in the first place was troubling. More importantly, while physical spaces can be cleaned, the overall attitude and care provided to children—critical for their emotional well-being—cannot be so easily remedied. Ultimately, my mother’s intuition could not ignore the changes I witnessed in my child. Increased distress, anxiety, and emotional withdrawal indicated that something was not right. No matter how much I wanted to trust the process, my child’s well-being took precedence. The emotional toll this experience took on me as both a parent and a nurse made it clear that the environment at was not conducive to my child’s growth and happiness. For parents seeking childcare, I strongly encourage thorough research, open communication, and trusting your instincts when evaluating a center. No job, convenience, or reputation is worth compromising your child’s safety and emotional health. I gave myself some time to comeback and write this with a clear heart and mind.

A few “issues” we had recently: - My kids complained I picked up too early (5:05) - They said their spaghetti was better than mine - They said they “played” all day We LOVE this place. Thanks Bright Horizons for being a trusted option for backup care. An no, they don't play all day, I love getting the daily reports and seeing all the engaging and developmental activities they do. It is so good the kids think they played all day. My daughter is in school already she asked if we can moved her here permanently.

My 4 year old son has attended Bright Horizons Braker since he was 7 months old. My husband and I visited a few other schools in the area but we knew when we met school Director Michelle and Asst Dir Lily we had found the right school! We have been through all classes (infant, toddler, twos, preschool and are now in kinder prep) Over the years the staff has become like family. We've also made friends with several of the parents outside of school which has been great! We've never had an issue with any of our son's teachers (they are all very qualified and have extensive experience with young children) and feel the children receive exemplary care and guidance during their time at Bright Horizons. The teachers, along with Center Director Michelle and Asst Dir Lily are always available to talk about anything, they really get to know all of the children very well as well as the parents. We enjoy the parent/teacher conferences which allow undivided time to discuss your child's growth and development. The center is always very clean, classrooms are well appointed and regular activities are planned (Chinese New Year parade, Halloween Trunk or Treat, Splash Days in summertime, etc.) We've also always felt the children eat very well. The school menu is fresh, delicious and varied including organic milk and vegetarian options. Many mornings the whole center smells so good I want to come back at lunch and eat :) Bright Horizons Braker is conveniently located close to all major roads and employers in the area. We've been very happy with our son's time at Bright Horizons Braker and will be sad to leave when he starts elementary school in the fall
