This review is long overdue. My daughter started Kindergarten in August and I can honestly say her social skills and academic readiness were above grade level expectations and a huge part of that is because of Bright Horizons. When I was looking for daycares, I was super anxious about family daycares and who would be around the kids, lack of cameras, etc. I toured multiple centers before this one and either they were full, the waitlist was long, or I just didn’t feel comfortable. When I came across Bright Horizons, the Director, Laura made me feel at ease immediately. What really sold me was knowing there were always multiple teachers present in each classroom, so the kids were never left with just one staff member alone. I also did not see male staff and this made me feel at ease. My daughter had never been in daycare before and she had a tough time adjusting the first couple weeks, but the staff here really put in the work to help her. They comforted her, slowly introduced her to the other kids, kept her busy, and truly cared about making her transition easier. I also loved that they rotated activities throughout the day AND kept parents updated regularly, from what she ate to what she worked on throughout the day. She transitioned through 3 classrooms over the years with her age group and she loved every single one of her teachers: Ms. Linda, Ms. Debbie, Ms. Monique, Ms. Rachael, Ms. Sandra, Ms. Ann and Ms. Dru. Many of the teachers at BH have been teaching for 20 years. That’s impressive and shows the low turnover rate. During her time at BH, my daughter learned Spanish, letters, numbers, and at the end of each semester they provided progress reports that showed her milestones and growth. It really felt intentional and structured. Bright Horizons felt like more than daycare, it felt like the best investment I could’ve made in her development. I always felt she was safe, loved, and genuinely cared for. The director is hands-on, visible, and makes sure the campus stays secure, not because there have been any serious concerns, but because she truly wants parents to feel secure leaving their kids there. Even now, when we drive by, my daughter still points out the school and talks about wanting to go back to visit her old teachers. At her new school, we get constant compliments about how well-mannered and ahead she is academically and I absolutely believe Bright Horizons played a huge role in preparing her. I will forever be grateful for this center and all they did to prepare my daughter for Kinder and for sharing so much genuine love and care for her.
Was opened an honest about my son and him struggling with mom and I going through a divorce. He was previously removed from 2 different facilities because his behavior. The main director wouldn't even give him a chance, my son did a shadow of the school for roughly 2 hours the following day we explained what has happened at the prior two schools, which he did really well. They asked myself did he seem any different, which I replied yes he actually asked to go to that school and actually played with the students and didn't want to leave. So myself and him were excited. Later that day I call to discuss the enrollment to be told sorry we don't think we can accommodate him. Then to get a phone call later explaining sorry because you were honest about his past we don't think it will be a good fit and wouldn't even do a trial period. Now this proves these facilities are in it for the money rather than trying to help, keeping him out of school and multiple visit to days cares with sorry we won't accept goes to show they care more about money then then trying to help a child in need. Oh here is some pictures of him actually playing and enjoying the 2 hours there which did it matter just wanted more time and confused him even more. But hey that's my two cents, like I said I was honest to bright imagination now I'll be honest with my review! Next time don't ask for a child to come do a sit in for 2 hours and then say sorry we can't help, but oh we will give you resources. If they would have done what they mentioned and done a trial I would have had faith they actually cared but to write a child off goes to show a lot. Thank again, looking forward for those amazing references coming. FOLLOW UP REVIEW reached out to to Norma Seber and because I they herd information how they wanted and discriminated against myself going through a divorce and a father explaining wrong but wanted to make sure he was getting into what I thought would be a better opportunity no let's treat a 4 year old who did nothing wrong with hate and disrespect and discrimination. I'm Actually disgusted you would ask a child to come play there and then base it off what I said. Not asking if timelines or what just a conceded parent.
Our son is thriving here. He loves his teachers and friends he's made while here. We struggled to find the right daycare when we moved to San Diego but eventually found a fit at Tierrasanta. So glad to have the support and attention from all the staff here. They are professionals in everything they do and they care so much for the kiddos.
We have been so grateful for our experience at BH Tierrasanta. The teachers and administrative staff have been supportive and individualized with their approach and have helped us feel relaxed knowing our toddler is in good hands and learning so many important concepts socially and emotionally as well as in S.T.E.A.M. daily.
My daughter has spent three years in this wonderful school, and I can't imagine being fortunate enough to find another that's equal. I write this review because we need to move out of state, and BH Tierrasanta is my standard when researching new schools, for several reasons: The teachers are so warm and clearly love what they do. The administrative staff is always in the know, involved, and approachable. When we had the rare issue or concern, it has always been resolved smartly. It amazes me (and other parents I chat with agree) how cohesive everyone here is. You can be sure that your child is learning, having fun, and very safe here. I truly think the entire staff is amazing, but I'd like to mention a few specific people. Thank you, Ms Sandra & Ms Claudia, for making my daughter excited to learn Spanish. Debbi and Linda are both very experienced teachers who clearly love what they do; my little girl has had them both as her teacher, and she is always excited to get to class. Laura and Kim handle the operations side so well; always communicating, always finding the best solutions to problems. I'm grateful for their flexibility and assistance as my family plans for a short notice move out of state. I am in the Military, so like many of the families enrolled here, we are preparing for the next move elsewhere. Otherwise, I'd keep my daughter in here and would happily be enrolling my son as well. If I could give a 6-star review I would.
