Front desk agent was the opposite of helpful. She gave me my keys and sent me on my way. No mention or reminder about resort fee (so $50 lost). Room amenities were grossly lacking: no vanity kits, robes, or slippers. Got a renovated room. But the AC still lacks - room got hot in middle of the night. No offering of 'free' water bottles - again, going back to that resort fee, which for other hotels, usually includes 2 bottles of water. Casino feels gross, a deep cleaning of the carpets would be a good idea. Location is on the older side of the Strip, so hotels are going to be older circa 1990s; with the exception of Park MGM. There is more shopping here, but the shops (Ross) are those you can access from any city. ABC Store is good for getting affordable water and souvenirs. Parking is $25 for visitors, $20 for hotel guests. Easy to access from freeway.
Stayed for a full week and had a fantastic experience. The MGM Grand really delivers on that classic Las Vegas energy — lively, spacious, and full of things to do. My room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet given the size of the property. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location made it easy to get around the Strip, and having so many dining and entertainment options right inside the hotel was incredibly convenient. The pool complex was a highlight — plenty of space to relax and enjoy the sun. Overall, a great stay from start to finish. Would happily return on my next trip to Vegas.
Stayed in the Wellness upgraded MGM 2 Queen. We paid extra to upgrade for the wellness package. Dont do it. Not worth it. As far as I could tell it had an air purifier, a water filter on the shower head and supposedly aromatherapy soaps. The beds were suppose to be better as well, I dont have anything to compare to however. The hotel was beautiful and clean. Did not realize that you needed to key to get the elevator to work at first! NOTE that since you check yourself in and do not talk to any staff. The monorail is connected to the MGM which is SUPER convenient. Highly recommend staying here for the ease of getting around via the monorail.
We were in town for a family wedding. The room service tasted like fast food quality and was served on funny cardboard plates and throwaways that looked more designed for prisons then a high end hotel and breakfast for 2 was above $100. The breakfast buffet was very limited selections and dissapointing quality and was around $40 a head. The room was good and in a clean state but nothing stood out as worth the high price paid. Overall I'd say nothing convinced me that MGM was worth a return visit considering there is so many options
I had redeemed a one night free stay from playing the slot games on the app. I got here before noon and just asked if an early check in was possible. The young lady who checked me in was so helpful and friendly, said my room was ready and I could check in now at no additional charge. I have never stayed here before and was unsure based on some of the reviews I have read online. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed my stay! I must have been in one of the remodeled rooms or floors. My room was so clean, comfortable and the all the furniture and bathroom fixtures looked brand new. This resort is huge and, of course, I got lost several times. I took advantage of the monorail to get to the middle of the strip. The bridge that connects to NYNY across the street was also convenient. There were lots of entertainment and food options, room was clean and comfortable, monorail access was very convenient and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Note: My stay was from October 2022 so, I don't know if there have been changes made since then.
