Both our children attended Bright Horizons, for a total of 7 years, our daughter from age 2 1/2 to 5 1/2 years, and our son from 11 months to 4 1/2 years. I highly recommend this center, they are well-organized, keep detailed activity logs, especially in the Baby and Toddler groups, and do their best to encourage an “I can do it myself!” attitude in young children. Their space is also one of the best in the area, with spacious classroom, gym with climbing wall, and enclosed outdoor space. Our son will start public Pre-K this Fall knowing the shape and some sounds of his letters, his numbers, and his colors. I will remember fondly the first time he walked independently while at school, and the Toddlers teachers cheered him on ! Both he and his sister made their first “best friends” here, families with whom we are still in touch and have playdates. During the pandemic, when our eldest attended, they were able to offer in-person daycare with social distancing and masking, while public Pre-K was entirely online. They also offer back-up care for school aged children, who have their own separate classroom in which they can do teacher-led art projects or LEGO builds. We will love to say hello to their earliest teachers, whenever we have back-up care needs in the future!
My four-year old daughter has been attending the daycare center at Lincoln Harbor since May this year. Overall very good quality and reliable. The daycare center adheres strictly to COVID protocols and remains well organized during such a difficult time. I can tell that the center management team tries hard to retain good employees and caregivers are well trained. For the past couple months, my daughter was able to learn phonics and writing. The teachers keep very detailed activity log for the day, and I can see my daughter's writing and reading skills improve tremendously over weeks. The K-Prep class teachers are definitely very experienced and methodological in their teaching styles. I am convinced by their approach. Kids at this age are very sensitive to their surroundings and easily get distracted by their peers in multiple ways. I'm glad to see that my daughter was able to navigate through different types of situations with her classmates in communication/sharing/dealing with conflicts, etc. Even though originally I was considering to send her to a public program at 4, I decided to let her stay, and I think the center is definitely a better choice for my family, given both parents are working professionals. The kid is learning, happy and growing healthily both physically and emotionally at a safe place. Overall, I recommend this center based on my personal experience.
Our son has been going to this daycare since he turned 13 months old and we absolutely love them! Toddler class has been very educational and I could tell our son has been thriving and learning a lot of new things because of them. We also love his class mates very much and we often co-host play dates with them! Highly recommend this daycare.
Such a wonderful daycare! The teachers are so caring and great at keeping us updated every day. It’s rare for an hour to go by without receiving an update or pic. Our daughter loves her teachers so much, and you can tell they genuinely love their students. Every day they have tons of activities planned that parents can see on their calendar. Our daughter has learned so much in just a few months, and she is genuinely happy to go to school every morning! The only negative comments I have heard from one other parent was due to their policy of sending kids who are visibly sick home to protect the other kids. Not a bad policy in my opinion! Super disappointing some parents on here will spread lies about the center when that’s what they’re actually mad about.
We highly recommend BH Lincoln Harbor! The daycare offers a family feel while being a reliable and consistent childcare option for working parents. They have a good daily routine and provide ample updates/pictures. Our 2 kids (3 years, 9 months) have blossomed while at the center, and we’ve met so many wonderful families. We’re sad to leave as we move into the suburbs but so thankful for the loving care BH Lincoln Harbor provided our children for the past 3 years.
