As a teacher and pediatrician, I and my husband could not be more thrilled with our son’s experience at the NYP Bright Horizons. The staff is so attuned as to his needs, he’s gained so many skills, and the hands-on curriculum keeps him learning and engaged. He loves his teachers and the other children and is so happy to be there every day! Their attached playground is wonderful for the warmer months. Grateful for the staff and their good care.
We had a wonderful experience with Bright Horizons at NYP midtown! Both of my daughters were at the center from 14 weeks old through PreK. My younger daughter just had her last day last week as she is getting ready to start kindergarten and we were so sad to leave. The teachers my daughter have had have been so warm and nurturing. They have loved going to school. The director Jessica is also wonderful and has been so communicative, welcoming, and warm. We will miss everyone deeply!
It is hard to leave your child with anyone but this center makes it much easier! Our son has been at this Bright Horizons for 7 months and has been in two different rooms. He's formed strong bonds with the teachers and they've been sensitive to his needs and personality. I feel as though his growth and development have been fostered beautifully and I am grateful for their love and care! The center is also receptive to our feedback which makes it so much easier to have a dialogue about our preferences and parenting style.
This center is full of wonderful caring and nurturing teachers! We have had great experiences there with our two children. We know they are in good hands during the day and feel very comfortable leaving them there. Their social and language skills started early and the teachers continued to support them.
Our daughter has been in the 1-year-old classroom for nearly a year and we couldn't be happier with out experience. Her teachers, Kathy and Thelma, are joyful and have helped her develop physically, socially, and emotionally. We love that she gets a social experience, and she always comes home telling us about her friends. Kim and Shamika who direct the center are incredibly professional, responsive, and have handled the extra COVID-related responsibilities and precautions so well. I think because the center serves primarily (but not only) hospital-associated families there is great effort made to keep the center open and only rarely have select classrooms needed to be shut down for COVID (but never the whole center as far as I know) -- this reliability is so critical! Other things I like: the outdoor playground (2nd floor rooftop), two snacks a day provided, long center hours with flexibility to choose your family's regular hours.
