What Parents Say
Bright Futures Learning Academy receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from most parents, who praise the caring staff, child development, and supportive environment. However, one parent reported a negative experience involving what they perceived as discriminatory treatment and lack of accommodation for their child's speech delay.
I love this place. I brought my children when they were 6 months and 3 yr old here and they have learned so much. The staff is always wonderful and helpful, taking a sincere interest in my kids wellbeing. They have developed trusting relationships with the staff and always look forward to "school." Thanks to all the teachers here, I know it's not always easy. I never worry when my kids are there.
DISCRIMINATED!!!! If I could give them ZERO starts I would. After ONLY 3 days of having my son there I was approached by Ms. Paula the director, her opening comment was there's something wrong with (your son). He's not like the other children. She began to question me about if had him seen by a specialist. Asking well is he a real doctor? Are you sure? Where did you take him? What's the doctor's name? My son is a late talker. (Yes, he's been evaluated, by a speech therapist.) He's perfectly healthy. Having never been in a childcare environment it's to be expected that he would have some temper tantrums etc... He's 2 years old! It was only 3 days! She proceed to tell me he's too much work, they are not staffed or equipped to handle him. Acted like she just learned that he doesn't talk much. Although my husband and I both made sure they were aware of it from the very beginning prior to enrolling him. I left that evening with tears running down my face. How could someone tell a mother that there's something wrong with your child?!? So cold heatedly. Without any regards. Feeling extremely discriminated, the next day we enrolled him in another day care. I was not going to have my 2 year old in their care anymore. The new place is more expensive but they understood his delay in speech and welcome us with open arms. My son now comes home in a great mood you can definitely tell he feels 100% better there than at this place. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone or my worst enemy. If you want to feel mistreated and discriminated then this is the right place for you.
This is a really good school... im going to miss my son going here..Paula the Director really worked with my son... Thank You Paula for your patients...and thank you for being willing to work with me...for the time my son was there...
I love this school. They take good care of my sun and they always give great advice on how I can improve his learning and motor skills.
We've been at the school for about a year and we are so happy. The teachers really care about the kids and my kid is learning so fast.
