After years of nannies, I decided to put my daughter in pre-school for more socialization and to lower costs. After a bunch of other Damascus parents recommended Bright Eyes, I scheduled a tour and liked what I saw. The teachers and administrators are very caring. The chef makes good meals for the children. They have theme days and special trips from time to time. There is a diverse group of kids and teachers. Best of all, my daughter seems happy when I pick her up and drop her off. I would recommend the center to others without hesitation. I'm attaching a photo of just the other day when we saw some of the teachers at the Damascus Days parade.
My son started when he was about 14 months and I was nervous but it was short lived. Ms. Liz and Ms. Patty took such great care of my son. He’s now in the 2 year old class and thriving. Amanda is the director and is fabulous. Emily, Bailey and so many more people help with the care and development of the kids. I’m very happy with the Damascus location. Update: 09/22 - new director Bianca has been a fabulous addition. Only area I’m waiting on improvement is more help in my sons class.
My son had attended a different Bright Eyes facility since the age of 3 when we lived in Urbana until we moved to Damascus 2 years ago. I was so happy there was a Bright Eyes facility in town, so we could stay within the company --- and double bonus Ms Brie & Ms Dawn were both precious teachers in the Urbana center. That was relieving and made me feel that much better about our relocation. Ms Amy is a wonderful, caring and friendly Director that always has the children's best interest at heart. Although my son is in Elementary school, I still use Bright Eyes for before/after care and summer camp. I couldn't imagine having him anywhere else.
We switched from a different daycare to here and my son is so much happier since we did and looks forward to going every day. Everyone has been warm and welcoming from the start. They have hands on learning opportunities for the kids, field trips and extracurricular activities. They provide nutritious snacks and lunch for the kids and my little one has been willing to try new foods thanks to them. The teachers are so kind and truly care. 5 stars all around!
The staff are kind and responsible, the director is professional, they hold lots of special “theme” days for the kids, and the education is exceptional. They really know how to balance play and learning; my 3 year old loves going there and she has already learned all 26 letters. The classrooms are appropriately sized, and the student and staff population is racially diverse. As a huge bonus, their outdoor area has a play house!
