Bright Beginnings Day Care

My children use the before/after school program. The staff is great! My kids enjoy going and even wish they could stay longer some days. It’s a very nice daycare.

Unfortunately, the daycare services provided neglect the proper care for the children placed there. Hopefully, the owner Dawn can gain staff in the future who are better equipped to handle situations like this, ( behavioral management) as in helping a child emotionally navigate through hard situations, recognizing that every child has unique needs. Please remember that contacting parents before dismissal would be beneficial in providing a safe environment, and consider hiring staff more adept at handling children with diverse cognitive and emotional abilities. I would also like to point out that the owner Dawn believes that if the child was on medication that he did not have that day that it would automatically help all of the emotional distress in that child and that is not always the case. Medication is not a fix for all children who have a disability. I am compelled to share my concerns regarding the childcare company, which has consistently demonstrated inadequate communication, resulting in my children being lost on three separate occasions. Despite my efforts to maintain open communication, the company has failed to provide a secure environment. In my opinion, this company is not a safe place for children, and I strongly advise exploring alternative options. I believe it is essential to highlight the severity of these incidents and the company's tendency to shift blame, and I hope you will take my concerns into consideration. I have an additional concern that I would like to bring to your attention. When I picked up my children on most days, I noticed that there were no staff members in the room, resulting in the children being left unsupervised. On occasions when staff members were present, they were frequently preoccupied with their phones, which led to a lack of attention to the children and a failure to fulfill their job duties. Moreover, I have observed staff members displaying unfair treatment towards the children, which has caused them significant distress. During a recent conversation with the owner, I raised concerns about specific incidents, to which she responded that she had reviewed the videos and found my claims to be unfounded, despite my direct experience with some of the events in question. As someone with a profound commitment to the well-being of children and over 13 years of experience in childcare, behavioral management, and supporting children with disabilities, I am deeply troubled by the suboptimal care provided by this daycare. I have always emphasized the importance of empathy and understanding when engaging with distressed children, and I am disappointed that this daycare has failed to meet my expectations. In retrospect, I should have conducted more thorough research before enrolling my children, rather than relying solely on my initial conversation with the owner. This experience has taught me a valuable lesson, and I will exercise greater caution in the future. Regrettably, I am unable to respond to the owner's statement regarding my review. I would, however, like to clarify a few points. Despite regular medication administration, there appears to be a propensity to deflect blame and hold a six-year-old responsible rather than acknowledging and taking responsibility for the staff's actions and the owner's own actions in the situation. The state has been informed, and the matter is progressing. Ideally, you should take this opportunity for this company to use this chance to hire more capable staff and seek counseling to comprehend the value of not only the staffs accountability but as well as yours.

Our family is so grateful for the wonderful care you provide to our children! The staff have truly gone above and beyond to make the children feel loved and supported since Day #1. Thank you for creating such a fun, friendly, kind, caring and consistently nurturing environment for our children’s early development! We’re incredibly thankful to have found a daycare where my children are not only well-cared for but also thriving. The amazing teachers love on my children as their own and I will be forever thankful for each of them! Children are our world’s future- thank you all for making the world such a better place with all the love you give to our babies!

would not recommend this daycare if you care about your kiddo. my children was sent home at least twice a week for ridiculous things such as having spit up, having a blow out at age 6 month or spitting up cause he was teething. staff is unprofessional and even sent my child home stating he had a temp of 98.7 which is normal temp. would not even take my dogs there would not trust them with my pets. if your looking for daycare. I would look elsewhere

I am writing to express concerns regarding the daycare's professionalism. Despite attending for over two months, staff members never introduced themselves to me, were consistently rude, and unavailable for discussions about my child's daily activities. Communication was challenging due to the lack of a direct line, and the owner's cell phone was often unanswered. During pickup, I had to ask 3 times when inquiring about my son's toilet training progress the teacher looked at me dumb founded and stated I changed his dipar. Upon arriving home, I discovered a rash on his buttocks. Subsequently, my son was disenrolled due to a sensitive lead teacher taking offense to me stating "its crazy in here" I appreciate the dismissal, as this daycare appears understaffed, unprofessional, and undereducated. If seeking caring, friendly, and professional establishments, this is not the ideal choice. I can honestly say I didn't have one good experience while my son attended this daycare.
