Brierwood Child Care Center

My husband and I feel incredibly lucky to have found Brierwood Child Care Center. This facility is so much more than a daycare; it’s truly a second home for our little one. From the very first day, we were welcomed with open arms. The amount of care, love, and attention our child receives each day has far exceeded our expectations; especially with this being the first facility we placed our first-born daughter into upon coming to the end of maternity leave. Every employee has been absolutely amazing but if you are lucky enough to have your child placed in a room with Brooke or Krystal, your daycare anxiety will be immediately resolved. They have been nothing short of amazing. Their warmth, patience, and genuine passion for early childhood development shine through in everything they do. Brooke is a bright light of creativity with a visible natural gift with children. She connected with our daughter on such a genuine level—which is amazing to see as a parent. Her patience is unmatched (she really showed this while our daughter was teething haha). Krystal is just a firecracker of fun and compassion but also brings such a calm, nurturing energy that instantly makes the children feel safe and loved. They both always engage each child with fun activities, imaginative play, and endless encouragement. The communication from the center is excellent. While working long days, I can periodically come back to my cell phone and see photos of my little one smiling and having a blast with Brooke. The environment is clean, safe, and stimulating, and we’ve seen real growth in our child both socially and emotionally since enrolling. Whether it’s fun seasonal crafts, or the way they celebrate every little milestone, you can tell the entire team is dedicated to helping your kids thrive. Thank you, Brierwood, and especially Brooke, Krystal, Mawish and Sammy for being such an important and cherished part of our child’s early years. We are so grateful for all that you do, and I encourage any parent to give this facility a shot!

Your daycare is very unprofessional. Your director is very unprofessional as well. She’s very nasty and rude. Her child is very rude to other kids in daycare and doesn’t get held accountable for her actions. Your director has had constant problems with co workers but seems to have a job still? No reason she should be yelling at her co workers while kids are around. Ontop of that why is there mold on my child’s cup? Are you guys not cleaning your cups this is very unprofessional

To this day, my wife and I feel awful we subjected our daughter to Brierwood daycare on southwestern. This review is almost a year late, but we have never forgotten how terrified our daughter must have been to come here. The short of it is, we happened to catch her teacher forcibly put her into a chair and yell and point inches from her face. Thank God they have cameras so we could pull her immediately. This is a toddler, a vulnerable child who was newish to daycare. We should have stayed away just based off the reviews, but we gave it a try instead. Now, we drive an extra 15 to 20 minutes to an amazing daycare that actually cares about the kids with mature staff. Stay away from this place.

Long story short, we did not have a good experience here. Check their OCFS page and you will see many issues. We should have known better but we were in a tight spot. It seems that the new director who took over about a year ago is not interested in running a quality operation and hires anyone who has a pulse. Once she took over most of the long time staff suddenly quit and there seemed to be new employees there every week. Similar to a previous poster below, we also noticed something happen on the cameras. You aren't making widgets here - people are trusting you to take care of their children.

My two boys have got the best care and love in Brierwood. I never had to worried about them as I knew they were in good hands. Things like transitioning from bottle to sippy cup or starting solid food Brierwood made it so easy. I am so impressed of my 4 yrs academic work arts and crafts, he enjoyed everyday going to his class. Thank you Brierwood family
