What Parents Say
Bridge to Learning has highly polarized reviews. Two parents praised the center for excellent care, family-like atmosphere, and responsive administration. However, three parents reported serious concerns including neglect, unprofessional and allegedly racist staff, poor hygiene practices, and prioritization of payment over child welfare.
This place is awful. They leave the children screaming their heads off. All I could hear during the 25 minute phone call was a screaming baby gasping for air. This place needs to be looked into by the state immediately. I feel so sorry for whoever leaves their child at this facility. Absolutely horrible and disgusting. Thats pure neglect and abuse
Our experience with Bridge to Learning was horrible, to say the least. The staff is unprofessional, rude and racist. This was well hidden prior to enrollment, especially when we visited the facility. However, with time, it became clear that my toddler was not welcomed at all, and money was the staff’s only priority. He would come home wearing dirty diapers, hungry and sad. At first, I thought this was related to him adjusting to a new environment but I was wrong. My baby was mistreated and neglected to the point that he was afraid of going there everyday. He would physically shake. Back then, his speech had not yet fully developed so he was not able to communicate exactly what he experienced. But his sadness and fear of this place said it all… As a mother, this shatters me to the core. He did not deserve this. NO CHILD DESERVES THIS! I should also mention that when my son was sick and stayed out of school for more than three weeks, no one cared. We only received a call when the monthly payment was due! If you support inclusion and diversity in childcare, if you are a person of color, if you are a decent human being, I HIGHLY suggest you stay far away from Bridge to Learning!!
I enrolled my daughter for PreK to start in 2018. After a horrible experience with the main teacher having an attitude that I parked "too early" and was taking too much time taking pictures of my daughter’s first day of school, I had a sour taste in my mouth. That main teacher ended up being my daughters teacher. I paid a total of $560 (tuition and enrollment fee combined) for my daughter to attend four hours of school. I pulled her out the same day, and was offered no refund. The director did ask why I was pulling her and I said it was because we were moving (which we were, but that wasn't the reason)... Mainly because I didn't want to start an issue. The real reasoning was because I felt they were too brash, they were not warm and welcoming. It was clear they only care about money and not the individual student and family. I'm disgusted that I wasn't offered any of my money back after spending so much money for four hours. Would not recommend.
I sent my son here for about a year and a half while living in Lynnfield. My wife and I could not have been happier with Bridge to Learning. Approaching a year after we moved and I was in need of previous years tax information. They had the information on hand and were able to send in to us right away.
Started going to Bridge in 2011 when my first daughter was born and I needed to return to work. Now both my girls are there and they love it. The people are awesome and they are all like family now.
