Briar Hill School

Our Simon Says Master had an awesome time working with Briar Hill! The staff there were so welcoming, making it easy for us to set up and connect with the kids. They really know how to create a fun atmosphere! The event space was perfect for the games, with plenty of room for everyone to join in and have a blast. You could see the smiles on all the kids’ faces, and that’s what it’s all about! Big shoutout to the team at Briar Hill for being so helpful and ensuring everything went smoothly. Money Focused - Not Child Focused. I signed up for a '4 day non-standard enrollment" for my 8yr old son. My understanding was a flexible 4 days a week. When I explained I could not take advantage of the 4 day program (off Fridays) as designed, the 4 day flex was offered to me. In the camp contract I signed for 'Wednesdays' to be off even though I did explain my need flexibility as I travel most weeks for work and my day changes weekly. I do not expect strangers to understand the complexities of what it takes to run my household! So a misunderstanding it is; No problem; I will work around it. As it is 4th of July and the camp is closed tomorrow, I brought my son to camp, he was VERY excited to be finishing his woodworking project. I received a call at 9:30 that my son was not enrolled for camp and to come pick him up, I asked since he was already there if he could stay for the day as it is a short week and he'd only be able to attend 3 based on their predetermined schedule. I was offered to pay a $100 'drop in fee' to allow him to stay. Moral of the story is- my son was there, excited about the day ahead of him and he was not given grace to stay. We have spent nearly $40,000 at Briar Hill over the years (preschool & camp - 2 kids, 4 years) to be treated with such a lack of grace and loyalty (as we have been very loyal to them) was simply a money move not a decision based on the child's best interest. So now I am working from home with a very upset young man who is NOT excited to go back. Community is about showing up for one another. This is a business, plain and simple. If you are looking for a family type atmosphere to trust with your children, do yourself a favor and attend Rolling Hills.

Both my girls went to Briar hill and were more than ready for kinder. Love the teachers and staff. Everyone is kind and helpful! Also very welcoming. Now my son also attends and I couldn’t be happier!
