My son with ADHD was expelled effective immediately without giving me time to make other arrangements, I am a single mom and I work 12hour shifts. He was expelled because he threw tantrums and had accidents. I was called constantly at work and told to pick my son up for things that I feel they could have handled and was typical child behavior. I had given the information they needed, simple techniques to better understand my child's needs, and to make a day run smoothly, simple things like a five minute warning between activity changes, which I have found to make the world's difference. I was ignored, blown off, and called constantly when I tried to work to keep a roof over our heads. Parents work. They swore up and down that they "worked with him", but my feeling is that any child that steps outside the line is unacceptable to deal with, a hassle, not worthy of any time or effort, and then gets suspended and expelled. Any major change like this, especially so suddenly, is really hard on a kid with ADHD. He regresses. It has huge impact on them. I thought the boys and girls club is geared towards being a positive influence in the lives of kids who don't always have a fair hand handed to them. The previous director, Emily, really worked hard to make it work, she figured it out, worked with us, came up with ideas to help. But since she left, the new director has left me with nothing but heartache.

They have been amazing and supportive of my kids and our family. They are always doing cool field trips and activities. My kids love going.

My daughter has gone here for several years now, and she loves it! Reggie and the rest of the staff have been great. They treat the children like their own family!

A great place for kids to get out of the house after school and in the summer, where their minds can be challenged and where they have hands on fun not on a phone!! A memorable place for every kid!!
