What Parents Say
Bostley's Preschool receives nearly universal praise for friendly, attentive staff, clean facilities, good staff-to-child ratios, and educational programming. One parent criticized the rigid nap time policies for 3-year-olds and felt the program lacked individualized attention for children who don't conform to structured routines.
Both of my children have gone to this Bostley's. Their staff is very friendly and they do a lot with the kids -- education and entertainment wise. The centers have always been clean and organized, and their children to staff ratio is great. (I have been in other daycares in the area where this was not the case and I really feel that it is important.) Overall a great care center and preschool. I definitely recommend the Dewey Ave location. :-)
They are a well structured facility. My daughter attended day care at 3 out of the 4 locations, and up until she was about 2, we never had a problem. But now that she is 3, she does not like to take naps, or sit still for long periods of time or to be forced to do something she doesn’t want to. I understand that this structure is important for kindergarten preparation, but I don’t like the idea of my 3yo being made to lay down and be quiet for two hours out of the day, just bc she doesn’t want to sleep, and then have her be punished or picked up early bc she woke the other kids up (bc they didn’t remove her from the situation) I was told I could not bring my daughter back bc she “will not behave during nap time” - They don’t pay enough attention to the kids as individuals rather than as a class as a whole, and they’re clearly under staffed if they don’t even have someone who can take the kids who don’t want to nap to another room or outside to play so that the other kids don’t get woken up. It’s a nice facility. Very clean and the staff are very friendly. But the program itself is extremely structured, excessively for 3 year olds in my opinion. We switched to Blessed Beginnings.
The teachers here are wonderful with my son. The only time he cries when he's here is if he's introduced to a new teacher in the morning hours. He's blossomed socially so much since I've started bringing him here. It's a fantastic facility.
As a previous director of an early learning center, I found myself overly critical when looking for a center for my son. Kudos to Bostley's for being a place that I can trust in caring for the most precious person in my life.
My daughter has learned so much while attending Bostley's. She is learning to count and she brings home projects almost every day. She loves it there.
