I cannot express how happy I am about choosing B’nai Aviv Early Childhood Center. The staff is so caring and nurturing that my children go to their teachers with open arms and are excited for school. I love hearing about their day and seeing their daily class pictures and what they are learning. I cannot be happier with the Jewish education they are receiving. The Directors are so available and approachable. They know all the children and the parents in their school. We just finished the most amazing camp experience too and can’t wait to return next year! I highly recommend B’nai Aviv Early Childhood Center and Camp B’nai Aviv.
You want a preschool that is safe and has amazing staff/teachers? Come to B’nai Aviv!! Our daughter attended since the age of 2 till 4 years old and we can say we had a phenomenal experience here. The B’nai Aviv staff/teachers are like family. They took care of our daughter and taught her so much that she is prepared to go into kindergarten this year. We are so glad they also have summer camp (Camp Koach) so we cannot wait to see you all again!
As we near the end of summer camp, I want to give mention about how utterly AMAZING Camp Koach has been. My wife and I used to belong to another synagogue and were referred by friends of ours for my son (almost 2) and daughter 5 yrs old, that they should attend camp there. Their directors Mindy and Todd are on top of their game. Mindy has been so attentive to our needs. She bent over backwards to accommodate our children on so many occasions and Todd had great communication with emails. My children’s counselors were absolutely wonderful and caring. I loved the lively morning drop off with music and friendly staff. I’m so glad we were told about B’nai Aviv as a summer camp for my kids. My wife is now looking to register my son for pre school.
We have had the most wonderful experience at Bnai Aviv Preschool and Camp! From day one, it's clear that the staff here truly cares about each child and their well-being. Every teacher, counselor, and staff member fosters a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and, most importantly, welcome. What really sets Bnai Aviv apart is the family atmosphere they create. It’s not just a school or a camp—it feels like an extension of your own family. Whether it's the personalized attention each child receives or the close-knit community, you can tell that everyone here is dedicated to making each child’s experience special. The teachers go above and beyond to ensure that all the kids feel seen and heard, and they actively encourage kindness and friendship among the children. The atmosphere at Bnai Aviv is truly one of inclusion and love. The staff takes the time to connect with each child and their families, which makes a huge difference in building trust and comfort. It's so reassuring to know that your child is in a place where they are not only learning and having fun but are also surrounded by people who genuinely care about their emotional and social growth. If you're looking for a preschool and camp that prioritizes family values, community, and individual care for each child, I cannot recommend Bnai Aviv enough. It’s a place where children thrive, and families are treated like one big, happy community. Thank you, Bnai Aviv, for all the wonderful memories and experiences!
As a parent, I need to warn all other parents who might be looking to put their children in this preschool program. I was excited when I first enrolled my children, and so were they! I loved hearing about the friends they were making and about their days. One day, huge red flag when my children tell me they’re afraid of some teachers. After asking tons of questions to my children, and then following up with other mothers/parents who have their children enrolled/previously enrolled - I learned that Karen (who is a teacher) and Sherry (who is the assistant director) both yell at the children quite often. Hearing my children tell me about them shouting (yes, shouting) angrily..at toddlers, young children, babies! And then hearing some of the horror stories from other parents….I was shocked, and angry. What kind of person does that? What kind of program is this? I believe what is going on here is illegal. I cannot believe that what I was hearing from my own children and other parents would be something I would ever hear coming out of a ‘wholesome’ Jewish program like this. I thought my experience was bad…others had it far worse. Thankfully I was able to pull my kids out just in time. Never again. ***And I warn you, before you put your children somewhere where not only are these things permitted, but they’re being cultivated and rewarded. Unfortunately, this synagogue’s name and reputation is being stomped on and run through the wringer via their early childhood program. Specifically the clueless director running it, the horribly unprofessional assistant director, and some of its angry teachers that clearly need to retire or reevaluate. Which is a shame because not everyone is bad. But a few rotten apples and the bunch is ruined! This seems to be one of those situations where the apples are more rotten the higher up the tree you go. What a shame.
