Kari B’s Zumba class on Saturday mornings is fabulous. I’ve been taking Zumba classes for 25 years and this is my favorite by far. Kari is a great dancer and teacher. She begins each song with the basic steps and then adds on the arms and flavor so you can pick your level. Her choreography includes lots of Latin and hip hop, with country, Bollywood, burlesque thrown into the mix. Sassy, fun and joyful!
Basketball, inside and outside swimming, workout room; all in the name of improving individuals, the youth and the community at large! Let’s support each other, let’s support our neighbors, let’s improve ourselves, let’s mission accomplish at the YMCA.
Derrick would never. I am deeply disappointed with the current state of our athletic department, largely due to the poor leadership and lack of organizational skills demonstrated by the athletic director. Communication is inconsistent, schedules are often last-minute or incorrect, and there appears to be no clear system in place for managing teams, events, or resources efficiently. This kind of disorganization negatively affects both student-athletes and coaching staff, making it difficult to plan and prepare adequately. In particular, the alignment of the soccer teams is completely unbalanced, which reflects a lack of thoughtful oversight and understanding of player abilities. Some teams are overloaded with experienced players while others are struggling to stay competitive, leading to a frustrating and discouraging environment for athletes. These imbalances could have been easily addressed with proper evaluations and more attention to team formation. Overall, it's clear that a significant change is needed in the leadership of the athletic department to restore fairness, structure, and faith in the ymca sports department. Hopefully sooner than later, blue ash ymca can return to the stellar program it use to have.
My kids and I visited to take advantage of the outdoor pool. It was nice and heated to an enjoyable temperature. It wasn’t at all crowded but the pool is very large as well. I enjoyed the music that was played and they provided adults only swim time which is nice. Will visit again for sure.
“I really enjoyed the beginner swimming class! Our instructor, Bea, is incredibly helpful, caring, and always takes the time to guide and correct us. She’s one of the most wonderful people I’ve ever met.
