Blocks Infant Toddler Child Care Center

I would have loved to give Blocks 5 stars, but as other reviewers stated, the staff is phenomenal and the caretakers are amazing but the management company is ridiculous and inflexible. They bend their own policies to maximize their bottom line and try to nickel and dime you at every opportunity. Our older daughter was at British School and it was convenient to use this daycare, but it was not worth it at the end. We regret moving from Rain Forest for the convenience. Like all of the other negative reviews, I would not recommend them due to the billing hassles. It will just make you mad and upset. It's just not worth it. There are other daycare's in the South Loop Take care your kids somewhere else and avoid the annoyance.

This is by far the worst daycare I've visited in my life so far. First of all, The staff nor the director ever return my calls or emails. I went in to inquire about daycare, only to see that unprofessional caretaker who was dressed in appropriately, was playing on her phone, while a walking toddler was in a crib alone in another room by himself. She was chewing gum when she asked me to leave my information with her so they can call me back. It took her more than 10 tries to spell my daughter's name (while I was reading the letters to her) and then she got frustrated and gave up and ask me to write down everything myself. I went in with my little one and was carrying a lot of things, fine. I have so much more details to say but in the end, I said thanks while she did nothing - not even bother to open the heavy door for a mom carrying a baby and other stuffs and just went back to her phone while other kids were by themselves (not to mention that one toddler was still walking and screaming by himself in the room alone). Whoever the director is, please be aware who you're hiring to take care of our children.

Oh wow this was a blank mission with my daughter. I was giving a tour time after hrs at 6:30 but when I got there no one there and I didn’t even get a call back to rescheduled. This let me know how important I am as parent let along my child is to them. No one should have went thru this. they called for me to come in. I’m so livid because I drove a ways but thought the drive was worth the daycare but now I see it isn’t.

While the teachers at this location are fantastic, the company itself and the account management are extremely unethical and are in the habit of illegal business practices known as bait and switch. You sign a contract for one price, then they end up charging a significantly higher cost. Should you flag this illegal behavior up to them, their response is that if you do not pay the higher amount, you no longer have childcare for your son or daughter. As great as the teachers are, it would be best to save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
