What Parents Say
Beyond the Rainbow receives mixed reviews with stark contrasts. Several parents praise the caring staff, educational activities, and communication, while multiple others report serious concerns including inadequate supervision, incidents of child-on-child violence, neglect, injury mishandling, poor meal quality, and staff conduct issues.
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. As someone who went to this daycare as a child, it is horrible. Now, keep in mind that I am currently 19 and went to this daycare from the ages of 5 to 8.While this was years ago, many of the same staff still work here, according to Facebook and their Website. And more recent reviews show nothing has changed. Children were often neglected or abused. Adults did absolutely to nothing to stop constant bullying and harassment from other children. In fact, kids who report their bullies, stick ip to bullies, or “hurt” others in SELF DEFENSE are the ones who get punished. Adults are not trained on how to deal with children who have ADHD or autism. I was straddled and groped against my will by an older child while one of the staff stood there and watched. Did nothing about it. They do not understand their quirks or special needs. Children are fed very small, unappetizing meals from dirty plastic dishes. Even though I was older, I’d have to spend time in the baby/toddler area if I didn’t get picked up before 5 pm. They let those babies crawl around freely with little supervision. Not to mention is super unsanitary. They do nothing to stop the spread of germs and the babies and toddlers were constantly sick.
Had many kids, my own and nieces and nephews, the staff has always been amazing.
My kids have been attending this daycare for a couple of years now and my kids have never had an issue. They’re quick to inform me of any accidents or issues involving my kids and keep me updated with pictures which I love. The staff that have been there since my kids started, have always been very patient and understanding and I’ve never had the feeling that my kids weren’t being cared for or mistreated.
My son has been attending this daycare / preschool for 3 years now, we’ve had a great experience with the staff. Cynthia is knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy. I know my son is learning a lot, he comes home with new words and stories everyday. They do arts & crafts, outside play and small motor skill building. I recommend this childcare facility to friends and family.
My son went to here for 1 MONTH and came home one day with a bite to his face. I wasnt called, he wasnt given medical attention (an ice pack) i found out 6 hours after it happened when i picked him up. He had pustuals appearing in the bite wound by that point. I took him to the ER and he was treated for a staff infection and was told had his medical attention been delayed more he'd have had more aggressive treatment. My sons attitude changed. He started acting out and complaining that he didnt learn anything and they didnt go outside. He would scream about being at school and hes never been fearful of school. His classroom was full and always had screaming children. The staff was minimal and very few english speaking teachers. I more than once witnessed children assualting eachother while i dropped my son off and intervened while a "teacher" stood by. Meals are state funded and between my mother and me we witnessed breakfast being a piece of bread and a banana. Not toasted, no butter or jelly. I'de hesitate to say my sons lunches were any better than that. I took my son out of school the last week and a half of the month because his behavior was horrendous. He would mimic teachers stopping there feet and sending him to the office. (Hes 4). My sons building smelt like mildew/must and was darkly lit. Nor is there any form of security. I easily walked in a grabbed my son and left without anyone even acknowledging me. Please DO NOT support this school.
