A 6ft tree branch fell and hit my mother’s face. When I went inside the church to ask for first aid, there was zero empathy on their part even though it happened on their property. No one even came out to check if she was OK. Her glasses broke, her face bruised, and bleeding. I would never go to a church like this where the leadership or those working for the church takes zero action to help those in need and has zero empathy. What happened to my mom today just goes to show that the community at Bethany Church is dead. I will NEVER recommend this church to anyone. Edit: we were contacted by the head pastor the day after I wrote the review. He apologized for what had happened, offered to pay for my mom’s broken glass, and cut down the dying tree. He also informed us that the church personnel will get an updated training on how to handle emergency scenarios. I’m sorry it took so long to edit my review.
Oh I love this church! I have learned more about the Bible here than in any other place. Not only are the Sunday sermons informative, but there are a wealth of small groups and classes to get involved in. Pastor Kip preaches the word and the congregation feels like family.
I’ve had many warm greetings upon arrival. I moved from EC & now try to catch the service on YouTube. This church has made me feel that God is always with me & hears my pains & praises. Bethany Church is my extended family. I have high regards for Pastor Kip, Debbie Smith & the church community.
I joined Bethany Baptist Church about 4 years ago. After being a part of a very very large parish church here in Ellicott City, it is really nice to belong to this "family" at Bethany that is much smaller and diverse. I liken it to the TV show "Cheers"...."a place where everybody knows your name"....you are just not a number at Bethany! Everyone has been a blessing to know. Pastor Kip Smith and his sermons are something I look forward to.
My wife and I have been members of Bethany Church for 26 years. That length of time is a testament to the quality and excellence of the church and all of its presentations. Pastor Kip preaches from The Word. He is an extended part of our home family; forever!
