My son has attended Beth El Center for Early Childhood Education since the age of 6 months old. We would have started sooner, but he was born pre-mature and spent one month in the NICU, so our pediatrician suggested we wait. As an infant, we felt comfort knowing that Joanie and the rest of the staff cared about our son as much as we did and provided him with loving care when we could not be present. Our son is now three years old and can express to us how much he LOVES going to preschool and all of the things he learns. He now has a diverse group of "best friends" including his teachers. As working parents, the school is flexible with our hours and makes sure we don't miss any important moments by keeping us informed. We love attending events outside of regular school as well, and the playground, which is shaded and turfed, is better than any park around. We love Beth El!
We randomly ended up here during the tail-end of covid when all the infant waitlists were years long. We are so happy we did! Every teacher we had, had been there for YEARS (if not decades) and low turnover is one of the best things you can ask for at a facility. It's diverse, the play areas are well shaded with lots of trees, and it's wonderfully play-based and exploratory. I have nothing but good things to say about our 3 years there. Our child plays well in groups, and alone, is polite, and uses silverware better than our older son lol. Joanie really loves those kids and was always really easy to work with if we needed to add an extra day or adjust pickup times. They have a great teacher to kiddo ratio, and I just always felt confident my kiddo was really safe and happy.
