My son loves it here, the teachers and administrators are all wonderful and truly care about kids. It’s very clean and they take excellent care of the students. Highly recommend!
My daughter started at Berri Patch when she was a toddler and has flourished ever since. Berri Patch has a compassionate and loving environment that teaches curriculum beyond what is expected before starting kindergarten. Berri Patch also teaches kids how to be safe and what to do in emergencies. The teachers go out of their way to make sure the children are clean and happy before going home. The teachers strive to maintain compliance with DCF regulations. Berri Patch can refer families to services that may benefit children and their families. I have no complaints with the Malabar location and will recommend any families that are looking for above-average child care.
Berri Patch has been wonderful for our son. Everyone has been so supportive and it's obvious that everyone knows him and cares about him. His teacher has been wonderful and he's been thriving since attending Berri Patch. We are moving out of state and when looking for other preschools my husband and I found ourselves disappointed in every place because they just didn't live up to the standard we now have from Berri Patch! The staff, the space, and his ability to switch rooms have been wonderful for us all. Thank you for such a positive experience and support for our family!
I absolutely would not recommend this daycare to anyone. My daughter spent a total of 1 whole day there before she was kicked out. Let me tell you why…. My daughter who is 1 has had 2 gold bangles on since she was 5 months old. They have never once came off through playing, bath time, swimming or anything!! They are tight on her wrist and hard to come on and off. She also HATES her hands being touched. Her first day of daycare the mentioned she can not have them due to DCF rules. I said that was fine and I would have to have them CUT off because they are tight and don’t come off. The directors daughter (manger) said that the bracelets were fine for today but would have to be off by tomorrow. I said ok. When I picked her up that day and took her home I realized the bracelets were not on my child and they were not handed to me at pick up time. The next morning at drop off I asked about them and no one seemed to know what I was talking about. They went to check the front desk and found them. I said “how dd there even get these off, they were tight on her hand”. To which the director said “ I dont know they were just handed to me and I was told they slipped off”. Sooo 2 min ago you had no idea about the bracelets and now your saying they were handed to you bc they slipped off??? Whitch one is it. I left bc I had to get to work but I was still not happy with story about the bracelets bc I know for sure they didn’t slip off and I know for a fact they pried it off my daughter bc they were tight and again she hates her hands being touched. I called my husband and told him the story and he gave the daycare a call. To whitch they told him “she was sitting in my lap and they fell off”. That is 100% a bold face lie. So my husband question why we were never called and they said “we have thousands of kids and don’t have time to call you about everything” Moral of the story my husband and the director had an argument on the phone and they hung up on him. They proceeded to call me 5 times back to back while I was at work and couldn’t get to my phone. When I called back thinking something happened to my kid they said “you need to come get your child now I can no longer offer care bc of your husbands action”. If they would have just told the truth and told us what really happened with the bracelets I would not be mad. I would not be mad if they said they took them off bc of DCF. But do not bold face lie to me about my child then when we question you about it you kick my child out. That’s very unprofessional and makes me think if you’re lying about a bracelet what else are you lying about. Also in the voice mail they left me I can clearly hear them talking bad about my husband. Please save yourself and your child and do not take them to this daycare
I don't write reviews often, Berri Patch did wonders with my son. We came from a daycare previously that would call me daily when my son wouldn't nap and send him home. My son came here with some behavioral issues. This preschool helped my son and gave him room to grow and he began to behave better with friends. They helped him advance in writing his name, and he loved going here! Dont get me wrong he didnt become the perfect student but his behavioral issues became few and far between after attending here. Their VPK program helped him excel! He's just started kindergarten and I believe his achievements stem from how they helped him here with interactive learning. The VPK teacher Miss Paige was fantastic and my sons favourite teacher. I'm thankful for this place !!
