We feel so lucky to have found BCNS Preschool. The teachers and staff are OUTSTANDING. With three kids now having attended, we've had the privilege of experiencing every teacher at the school. I can honestly say that the director Krissy is amazing (and a teacher herself), and has so much expertise and a calmness about her that is carried throughout all the staff at BCNS. Each of our kids have personalities distinct from one another and it's a delight to witness firsthand how the teachers and staff evolve to meet each child where they are. There has never been a moment I drop off my kiddo worried if they will have a great day. On the parents' side, the community has been so open, friendly, and invaluable to us. There are adult and family events throughout the year that we look forward to now as traditions!
Our child attended BCNS for two years, and during that time not only our child but our entire family was very happy. Through BCNS, our child developed essential social and developmental skills in a warm and supportive environment. At the same time, the school offered many family-involved events, which allowed us to see how happily and confidently our child was growing. Those experiences also helped us learn how to better communicate with and support our child as parents, and we are truly grateful for that guidance. If we could go back, we would absolutely choose BCNS again. We hold deep appreciation for the teachers and staff at BCNS for the meaningful role they played in our son’s early development.
We couldn’t be happier with BCNS! From day one, it was clear how much thought, care, and intention goes into everything they do. The teachers are incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely curious about preschoolers' thoughts and ideas. They carefully observe children and build learning around their interests, which helped our boys become more confident, expressive, and excited about school. The environment is beautiful, calm, and thoughtfully designed—full of natural materials and hands-on opportunities that invite creativity and exploration. Communication with families is excellent, and we always felt informed and included in our child’s learning journey. Most importantly, our boys felt safe, loved, and happy here. Im a child psychiatrist who has worked with hundreds of kids, so I was definitely going to be picky about a preschool for my kids. BCNS delivered through and through. It's an amazing place. Just go in and take the tour for yourself. It's so warm and nurturing. It's a wonderful community. All the teachers are wonderful. My kids are now 5 and 8 and we still are friends with those we made there both parents and kids.
My child attended Belmont Cooperative Nursery School (BCNS) for the last two years and it was a great experience for both of us. His teachers were always warm and supportive, the classrooms are welcoming, and his classes explored and learned some really neat things. The older classes regularly visit Belmont's Audubon education center, which was an amazing experience. The kids always have lots of time for creative play.
