Belmont Academy

Just wrapped up our last day of PreK at Belmont Academy (it’s year round - we have Summer plans) before our kiddo is off to Kindergarten and it’s so bittersweet! Finding this school and this program has been nothing short of an absolute gift. They do it all. Infants through pre-kinder and afterschool / no school days and Summer for elementary aged kiddos. It’s a big program but you would never know it from how personalized each interaction is. From the very first day they knew our names and quickly made efforts to learn about our family - siblings, pets etc. A same-team partner in child rearing is what every family needs out of their child care providers. They give snuggles and hugs when drop offs are tough and updates when the kiddo has recovered. They share pictures throughout the day which helps me feel connected to the activities and which also give me prompts to connect with my kiddo when recapping their day. Belmont Academy Summer camps are the only camps my older kiddo specifically asked to be signed up for. They have a great structure for daily consistency in routine while also keeping activities and excursions fresh and exciting. It’s the ideal balance for kiddos getting the big energy out while always having access to quiet space/activities. At home we’ve frequently marveled about the program director’s skill with kids. She can simultaneously hear them, engage with them and make them feel seen while also moving the story along and having a conversation with the parents. It is unreal and beyond amazing. Everyone we connect with is kind, responsive and caring. The communication across the board is top notch as well - transparent, timely and succinct. There are so many wonderful things about this school and we sure will miss the daily interactions with the friends and teachers and staff. Thank you Belmont Academy for an amazing few years of early childhood education and care! Parents looking for care for your kiddo - don’t pass this school up. 💕

Our kiddos have been here since they were infants, and there's never been a day when they weren't excited to go to school. The teachers are kind, fun, and patient and allow the kids to thrive. There is structure, comfort, and reliability that prepares them for eventual kindergarten, and a lot of the families stay enrolled for years. Our kids have made great friends here, and we parents have too. We're excited that once they're off to kinder, there is also the option for after school care. It's a great, reliable program for working parents and we're so grateful to be part of the Belmont family.

Our oldest started at Belmont Academy as a 3 yr old, and later our 2nd started in the infant room. The care was sincere and consistent. My children felt loved and nurtured, while learning their ABCs and 123s, plus had dance offerings and regular art. It was a fabulous environment. And as Oregonians, it’s FANTASTIC they have an indoor gym and climbing wall. My kids love to still visit, and remain nostalgic about their time with beloved teachers and friends. I cannot recommend enough.

We’ve loved Belmont for our boys. I can’t speak highly enough about the teachers we have had or the school directors. I always felt like my boys were safe and cared for, both physically and emotionally. I also feel like Belmont works to create a community in the school, which helped our boys thrive and grow.

We have had two children go to Belmont Academy starting at age 1 and 3, respectively, and we have been very happy with the experience. I respected how they handled the challenges of the pandemic and we were thrilled to send our younger child back when they reopened. The buildings may not be fancy but the the teachers and staff are very caring, conscientious, and professional. Our kids love Belmont Academy and we are grateful for its presence in our lives!
