My granddaughter attends Belle Forest. I'm EXTREMELY SATISFIED with the staff. I VERY PLEASED with the measures staff takes to ensure the children are in a safe environment and eating nutrition breakfast and lunch everyday. Mrs. D. Smith(kindergarte teacher)treats every child as her own acknowledging their individual personalities. The principal is Very hands on with the students, as I saw her interacting with them at an outing yesterday. She never sat down, BUT walked around speaking to all the parents and children she came in contact with..even learning a few dance moves. LEARNING/TEACHING is Belle Forest FIRST PRIORITY.
The majority of the Belle Forest staff is Awesome! They love the Kids, Parents and Grandparents! They pay attention to your concerns and assist in solving any problems or issues. I will miss them when my grandkids graduate...one this year and one more in 2 yrs.
I just moved here and been trying to get my kids in school; however, between Shelby county and Green Dot; Shelby county only gave me a problem- which is this school. I hope I can find a Green Dot elementary school - their staff are amazing! Shelby county school staff are horrible and instead of focusing on helping parents transition they only talk about sending parents to jail. They need to be in jail and or monitored closely when working with parents. It's not always the parents. If I can't find a Green Dot elementary school back to Wisconsin I will go when my lease end. The school is ok, but some of the staff are horrible and their attitudes are the worst with their nose all in the air.
Worse school ever need better teacher a child with special needs should not attend here some of the teachers do not communicate with parents properly I sat in the classroom and watched the teacher and assistant Ms. Lanier talk about other kids as if I wasn’t a parent myself it’s horrible my child will be transferred and won’t ever return
