I have been grateful for BBIC for all the care and support they have given my son. My son started there at age 2 and has special needs/speech delay. Before BBIC we were at a previous daycare, Grace Lutheran child development center in Richmond IL for 3 months; and they basically told us we had to find a different daycare because they could not handle my 2 year old. I was very fortunate to find BBIC. after. BBIC has been caring for my son now for almost 2 years and I thank them everyday for their patience with him. His teacher, Ms Kenna has been amazing as well =]
There are some employees here that really do try at their job and care (Monique and Barb were great), but the majority of the staff should not step near a place that involves children. Especially the end of the day staff (except for Monique). They are rude, careless and do not pay attention to the children. I know kids get dirty, but I cannot count the times I picked up my child from here and his entire body was filthy. Dirt on his face, old ketchup and food from lunch on his shirt and face. His hands so covered in mud that they look black, his shoes on the wrong feet every day. It was completely unacceptable. The center is usually always filthy as well and filled with clutter. One time a care provider answered the door in their bare feet. I know times are tough, but they are very under staffed and most of the staff they do have knows next nothing about caring for children. My child has never been sick so often as he has been while attending this facility. I honestly don't understand why other parents aren't saying anything, this place is just so unbelievably bad. I wanted to give it a chance and it could be a great center but it is just too far gone. Very sad.
Roots and Wings is Out of Business!!! The building is now a New Daycare under completely new management!!! it is now called Building Blocks, and the old owner has no affiliation of any kind. The new Owner is awesome and the care is perfect!! great rates and service, excellent communication, always fun things going on for the kids, I am so glad we found this Gem in the middle of the county!!!
Our son has been going to BBILC for over a year and he claps his hands every time we pull up! The workers really care for our child and are so accommodating to our flexible parenting schedule. Definitely would recommend for anyone out in the county!
Under new ownership! The children are well cared for Nd loved by the owner and teachers.highly recommend taking a tour of the center. Reasonable rates as well. Very flexible schedules.
