We started at this daycare with some optimism, but unfortunately our experience quickly turned disappointing. • We were told our son needed three separate water bottles filled each day because staff were apparently unable to refill a single bottle. This felt unnecessarily inconvenient and inflexible. • We were also informed that breakfast ran from 8:00–9:00am. Since our drop-off time was 8:30, we expected he would have 30 minutes to eat. I packed his breakfast daily for months, only to later find out that staff actually cleaned up at 8:30 — meaning my son had not been served breakfast at all. • When they told me my son had been biting, I explained this only happens when he is hungry or tired. Yet no one connected this behavior to the fact that he had not been eating breakfast, and they never informed me at the time. • In addition, during his very first week, my son was sent home in a soiled poop diaper. For a childcare provider, this lack of basic care was extremely concerning. Overall, I experienced poor communication, inflexibility, and lapses in basic care. Parents deserve transparency and trust, and sadly this daycare did not provide that for us.
