Love this YMCA very nice people get to play basketball and workout till sweaty. The showers or very nice enough room to get dressed in your shower room as well.
I use the equipment, which is new and easy to use. When my schedule allows, I have had a trainer, who taught me proper form and helped with strengthening weaker muscles.
these "free y days" are false advertisement so dont think you finna get up in there for free because soon as you go up there and mention it they gon tell you that you gotta have a parent sign you up and if you dont have a parent you cant get in. Then you gon wanna go home n you cant wait inside the building for your parents you gotta wait in 80 degree weather and if you dont want to a old sloppy slow looking security guard gon threaten to call the police.

For many, many years I went to a different Y. I even worked at a different Y for 2-3years until COVID hit! A friend told me about the Avondale Meadows Y and I am so glad she did! I am making many new friends here…it’s a welcoming environment ~
