Atrium Family Ymca @ Franklin City Schools

I have been a member at this gym for just under a year and a half. I use the child watch for my kids and love that. The people who work in the child watch are worth their weight in gold. Tom and Trevor at the front desk are great, too. There are plenty of weights and weight machines, and these always seem to be in decent condition. My complaints with this gym are these: it is very expensive, but I don’t see what the money is going to pay for. I’m seriously paying nearly $100 a month for my family membership, but what do they use the money on? Building that outdoor pool? The ceiling in the women’s locker room is literally falling in; they have to put so many buckets out to catch the leaking water when it rains. Several treadmills are out of order and just get removed instead of replaced, or just left on the floor, inoperable. When it’s busy, you have to wait for a treadmill to open up. There is one single shower in the women’s locker room that has good water pressure and gets above lukewarm; the rest are miserably cold and just a drizzle. I shouldn’t have goosebumps in the shower! And all the women know which shower is the good one because it’s literally always in use. Annoying. I love going to the gym and need it to stay sane as a mother, but the problems keep adding up.

Why doesn’t a gym do a paid day pass? I have to actually bring a member to try this place out? You guys can do better you a ymca. Everyone should be welcome to be there despite their member ship?

Post that the lap pool is open on their website and then when I get there it’s closed and the hot tub is closed. Twice this week now. Don’t know what I’m Paying for as it seems They can’t maintain a pool facility.

I am on disability (had my leg tragically amputated) and am raising grandchildren on a little over $800/month, I got my membership for me and the kids with the discounted rate, Went to get my grandaughter swim lessons and had to pay for that, well a year later I didn't know I had to re-apply so ok my fault, they took $75 out of my bank account which is a lot when you only get what I do (property taxes takes half of that off the bat but that's another ballgame) I took in what they asked for (SSDI award letter, application) THREE MONTHS AGO and they are still taking it out, I've called and called and left messages and messages and then another message and can't get whoever they send me to to call me back, then I was told if you want to just cancel they have 30 days to do even THAT, I'm sure it's just a way to get one last payment from you, but this is ridiculous, stuff shouldn't be this hard and if someone isn't doing their job then they need to get someone in there who will, I'm VERY frustrated, this is the first time I've ever had a Y pass and it's not sitting well AT ALL, at this point I wouldn't recommend ANYONE to get a membership here,

Old people kicking kids out of the warm pool is RANK. This is why your kids don’t visit you. This is why they are no contact with you. I hope that helps.
