I knew right away they were gonna be a great fit. Starlin and Barbara were great at answering my 100 questions. I have a lot of trust issues when it comes to anyone watching my kids. I always do a deep search into the daycares I think about sending my kids.I literally don’t let anyone watch them, but I had to go back to work. I did a lot of tours and none felt right, but this one. The infant room is what sold me, the workers were on the ground holding the baby’s they don’t just throw them in a crib. My daughter smiles at the workers she’s 4 months, so I know she feels comfortable. The toddler room has been nothing but amazing. My son who is three has speech delay, and issues eating. Two weeks in and he started counting to 10, and singing the alphabet! Amber and Tay give so much love to him. Amber sits with my son and encourages him to eat, I’m already seeing more improvements than his food therapist. My son asks to go to school on the weekends too, very happy I found this center for my kids.
Overall, we have had a great experience with Aslan! Our 1st daughter started out at age 2, she has been there for 3 years and really enjoys it! Her teachers have been amazing and love her like their own! We started our second daughter when she was about 3-4 months old. Having an infant at daycare, initially was hard because she is so young but the staff always communicated well and listened to any concerns I ever had! My youngest recently moved into a new class (she is now 15 months) and is really loving it! The teachers are great! Even if they are new, they are open to suggestions and continuing to learn! We highly recommend and support Aslan Castle ELC teachers, admin and cooking staff! Communication is key!
My oldest started at Aslan at 2 with a speech delay and “graduated” more than ready for kindergarten. She’s in 2nd grade now and is still excelling academically and scoring grades ahead. I attribute much of her success to the foundation laid in her daycare/preschool years at Aslan. My youngest has been with Aslan for 19 months and has surpassed expectations. I have never once questioned the safety and/or well being of my children while under the care of Aslan, something I’ve found to be terribly rare in the area. Directors are quick to communicate and answer any questions. If they don’t have an immediate answer- they get the answer, immediately. Facilities are CLEAN and I come in almost daily wanting a bite of whatever is cooking. My oldest STILL requests the meatballs (almost 4 years later) and she’s picky as they come. The biggest thing for me is knowing that my baby is (was) cared for. They had to relocate this past year and although I considered centers more closely located to our home, I could not, in good conscience, switch. I could not put travel, time, or money above the safety and security, that is our home at Aslan. They truly treat each student as one of their own. The added bonus is the learning environment that has helped my kids thrive, in ways as a working household we could not do otherwise. The only real negative we have experienced is that the infant room, at least at one time (Fall 2022-Spring 2023), did seem to have higher turnover, however the older classrooms have been noticeably more consistent. That said, we still had a good experience in the infant classroom, just not as great as 18 month up
We were afraid of daycares after our oldest was in a neglectful daycare. After years of being a sahm I decided to return to work and was super selective over where I would send my son. He has been there for the last year and will head to kindergarten in the fall. He loves every teacher and loves going to school. He is already reading and is beyond prepared for kindergarten. He eats good meals and leaves happy every day. So much care and time spent with these kids and not just sticking them in front of a screen.
I have had nothing but good experiences here. My child has been going here for years. Even after the moves the kids STILL enjoy going to school and seeing their teachers and friends. They have a lot of fun there and aren’t put in front of a tv. Always cute little projects coming back home in their folders.
