Ascension Lutheran Preschool & Child Care Center

My daughter's attended Ascension Lutheran Preschool and I couldn't have been happier. My children love going to school to learn and play with their friends and teachers. The teachers are very supportive and patient with my child. The curriculum allows for the children to have fun while learning and also teaches them life skills (gardening, being independent and to be able to verbalize their ideas). The teachers and director have a passion for teaching as well as introducing faith in a kid-friendly and non-denominational way.

My daughter has been attending Ascension Lutheran Preschool for 2 yrs. She has grown verbally, intellectually, and emotionally here. The staff has provided the opportunity for my daughter to learn in a loving group and to develop her own voice and interest. The school has taught her life skills and to care for the garden. I love how the staff is so creative in teaching the children.

We loved this school so much. Our daughter had severe separation anxiety and cried every day for at least a month and the staff was always so sweet to her. They would walk her around to water the plants or let her help out to distract her and after that month she completely changed. She had once been so shy and opened up so much. The facility was always clean and there were so many fun activities that the school planned. There was something so sweet about the families and it was a special community to be a part of. I could not recommend this school enough. It is the sweetest little treasure.

I have been a member of Ascension Lutheran Church for 25 years. Both of my sons were raised in the church and attended Ascension Lutheran School K-8 grade. While they both 'complained' about going to church every Sunday, they have both said as adults that they are grateful for the background it gave them to deal with life. Yeah! The church welcomes all; children are especially cherished. They are welcome in both the conservative 8:15 service and the contemporary 11:00 service. If they make a little noise, the Lord and all of us hear them and are happy they are there. There is Youth Sunday school for children 2 years old through eighth grade and high school. We have beautiful organ music in the 8:15 service and meaningful upbeat music presented by a powerful Worship Team in the 11:00 service. Pastor Michael preaches God's word as presented in the Bible. His sermons are so easy to listen to and follow; the way he presents God's word makes me say, I get it! After 25 years I am still going to Ascension every Sunday and am grateful to be able to do so.

My son attends Ascension Lutheran Preschool and we couldn’t be happier! The staff is very attentive and hands-on. The classes are great sizes. My son’s learning and talking have grown very quickly once he started in January.
