Asbury Child Enrichment Center has mixed reviews reflecting significant changes over time. Multiple parents praise the facility's caring staff, cleanliness, and kindergarten preparation, while recent reviews describe staff transitions, mishandling of child behavioral issues, safety concerns, and poor teacher conduct.
Both my sons have/are attending ACEC...this is a great child Care center and I have seen that my oldest son was well prepared for kindergarten. I personally feel it was because of his experience at Asbury Child Enrichment Center. My youngest loves the center and his classrooms team of teachers are amazing and outstanding.
Asbury is a wonderful childcare center. The center is clean, colorful, engaging, and wonderfully staffed. I have had my daughter there since she was 7 months old, and the care and genuine love that those teachers have for the kids has given me great comfort when I have that "mom guilt" of putting my child in day care. There are several options for childcare in Greeneville, and I feel very confident in my choice of Asbury for my children.
My daughter who is now 17 attended Asbury for approximately 3 years until she graduated preschool and went onto elementary school. Asbury was at its prime then with well-established teachers and leadership. She loved it! It WAS the most reputable place in town for great reasons. And I loved knowing she was in great hands. I felt like she was in the best hands in town other than my own. I do not know what exactly has happened since then, other than alot of transition in staff, but I do know it is NOT now what it was then. I regretfully took my grandbaby out of Noah's Ark recently to transfer her to Asbury thinking she would also have a wonderful experience there as my daughter had, but she and I both have been bitterly disappointed. She has struggled getting adjusted to lunch and naps there (as a one year old, imagine that) although she ate lunch well and took naps fine at Noah's Ark. I sensed it has been frustrating for the teachers, especially one of the three she had in the class because its disruptive to the other kids napping, and maybe more challenging to deal with for younger teachers with less experience than the teacher she had at Noah's Ark (20 years working with toddlers in same class)....today, a DCS worker shows up out of the blue at my daughter's home with complaints someone from this daycare called in stating that my grandbaby is afraid of the dark, having anxiety, and lashing out in behavior that indicated sexual abuse. Unbelievable, to go to an extent like this because a one year is having trouble with transition and they can't figure out how to help her or were tired of trying. Well, I guess that's one way to eliminate a 'problem' child from the classroom! Simply unbelievable. So after pictures taken of her private parts by a stranger in the house tonight (witnessing there was no rash or marks present as claimed there was by whom ever called them from Asbury--confidentially, of course), we are now very remorseful of our choice to transfer her from Noah's Ark to Asbury. She will never be back there again after today. Unbelievable. Not to mention, they have had repeated cases of hand, foot, and mouth in this particular classroom from what the teachers told me when my grandbaby started just a few weeks ago (her mouth has rash on her tongue now and I will need to take her to the doctor for it). Kate and Sharon have been great to work with at Asbury, but they have a lot of work to do to turn this place back around to what it used to be. Meanwhile, I would definitely agree with the other post recommending Noah's Ark as great childcare center....always clean and well experienced staff who knows what they are doing, and it was easy to talk to teachers during day for updates, pictures, etc. of child. Wish we had never left. This time at Asbury has been my worst experience ever with a child care center. And I'm a grandmother who has been around the block a few times and dealt with numerous child care givers.
Where to start Ashbury is a well-established child care center in the heart of Greeneville Tn. Both my son and daughter attended there for approximately six months. I started having trouble in my son’s class during the second month of him attending. The teacher insisted on speaking about my son’s behavior and idiosyncrasies in front of other class mates and parents. After speaking with the board about the teacher’s behavior and making a surprise visit to the school in which time I found the same teacher had put my son in front of the class with his mat to humiliate him for not putting it up. The school drafted new rules and training for the teachers. My son was not the only one treated this way in the 3 to 4-year-old class. Regarding child safety on four occasions my son was sent home with bloody shirts from falling from the top of jungle jim. I would not recommend any child to attend this school with present leadership in place. My recommendations would be Noah’s Ark must better operation.
Asbury Child Enrichment center has a loving, caring staff. Much like the same my daughter had when she attended ACEC. I would consider no other place in town for my child to attend if I had to do over again.
