As of 12/24/25 slide still broken at bottom and blocked off. Still a fun non traditional playground. Small but fun sand area with various sections. A large log and ropes climb. Two baby swings and two round net swings. Two small kid playhouses. Also basketball and pickleball nets. There an auditorium and I think a large walking path. There is a parking lot under the auditorium not sure if it costs money but it is gated. We found street parking. 11am and it’s fairly busy with toddlers and some elementary age kids but enough space for all. Plenty of benches and also four tables under shade.

We found this place looking for local kid friendly trails as we have a three, almost four year old. We came out to lubber run trail and entered at the parking lot above the ampitheater. It's a beautiful paved/graveled trail that winds over and around a wide flowing creek. It's beautiful, small child friendly and just big enough to be a good hike where you feel like you spent a good time hiking without wanting it to be over the last little while. The playground is accessible by a series of stairs and boasts a sandpit, slides, a rock climbing wall, playhouses, climbing areas and a basketball and tennis courts. It has a community center with an indoor track and various other amenities. A great place for a day trip although not much shade in the playground areas so it gets very hot and icky in the summer. During the spring and fall it's ideal. It is kind of disability friendly as it does have a wheelchair accessible ramp outside the community center to the playground but to get from the community center to the trail you have to take a few stairs or go out into the neighborhood road and then to an access trail to get back onto the main trail. Very pretty though and a good "not too long, not too short" kind of family trail. There are full restrooms right off the left side of the path as you come in from the ampitheater parking lot and while I have not personally been inside the community center areas, I would assume they have restrooms as well.

Slides are closed (as of 11/1) unsure as to why because they don’t appear to be in disrepair, but it’s the whole reason to go this park if you have kids : (

The yellow slides are blocked off, but the highlight was the wooden log climbing structure.

The highlight of this park is hands down the two big yellow slides! All the kids love them - even my little one year old loves them and my 3 year old can’t get enough. The climbing wall to the side is fun as well, but there are also steps if you or your kid(s) would rather. If you have younger kids that like to have you help come expecting a workout :) There’s also a really nice sand pit - we always bring our own sand toys to maximize the fun. As with many parks, I feel there could be more swings, especially here where it can get really busy on a weekend. Lots of fun play features here - a seesaw, small slide and playground for the littles, a sitting spin toy, and some wooden climbing structures for older kids. If there’s anything lacking, I’d actually saw they could use a bit more for older kids, but I have young kids so it’s great for us! It’s a must visit to try out the slides! Nearby are some nice wooded trails to enjoy. Plenty of street parking available.
