What Parents Say
Apple Tree Day School receives mostly positive feedback from parents who praise the caring staff, safe environment, and learning opportunities. However, some parents report concerns about staff training, facility maintenance issues, and management responsiveness.
My kids have been going here for three years and have been in all the rooms by this point. We have had great experiences so far with the teachers and administration. There are many teachers that have been there from the start and some newer faces. If there are problems in a room, they have taken care of them quickly. I like that you can check in on your kids during the day with the security camera. When my baby was just starting, I was able to go in and visit with her and nurse her if needed. I feel that the teachers really care about the kids.
Apple tree is the best. My son has been there since 10 weeks old and he is now 2 1/2. They are kind caring and wonderful. He learns a lot . The owner and directors are great as well as all the teachers. We loved the infant program too. Overall I think it is the best place out there and I feel totally confident leaving my son there!
I was very worried about putting our son in daycare after past bad experiences with our daughter as a baby and having been home with him for the first year and a half of his life. My son absolutely loves coming every morning. The staff is friendly and he loves his teachers.
Some of the teachers are fine and making an effort, though some of those efforts (e.g. drilling two year olds made to sit still in chairs during) are misguided due to lack of pedagogical training. I once watched the owner carry on a conversation about poker for ten minutes while I waited to ask him about the a/c that went unfixed for a week in the toddlers room in the middle of Texas summer without even relocating anyone. Kids were leaning over a fence toward cooler air, panting. That’s what made me finally take my kid out. “Healthy” snacks have, like, whipped cream and sprinkles on them. My fav of their DCF reprimands is the one about inebriated teacher.
I once made a mistake, I drop my daughter out of Apple Tree because I was amazed by the facilities of another center that ended up mistreating my daughter and were converting her on a brat winning girl that she has never been. I am sooo glad to be back and be able to trust the staff, director and owner. I have the piece of mind to know that she will be alright now.
