What Parents Say
Angel Academy receives mostly glowing reviews praising staff care, cleanliness, and child development, with parents highlighting staff members like Ms. Lillie and Mrs. Dawn. However, one detailed negative review alleges serious concerns including babies left in bouncers all day, improper bottle feeding, physical discipline, staff rudeness, and frequent unscheduled closures.
Both of my boys attend, my 2 year old started when he was 1, and my 8 month old has been there since 6 weeks old. Ms. Lillie in the infant room has cared for my infant since day one, and I completely trust her and the staff. My toddler has also grown SO much socially and developmentally since starting here. My husband and I are very appreciative of the staff and all they do!!
My son has been here since he was 2 months old he’s currently 4 months old. My husband and I are truly grateful for the care he is receiving. We truly appreciate Ms. Lillian as well as the staff they are nothing but amazing. My son has reached several milestones since he’s been attending here. We couldn’t have chosen a better daycare. ♥️♥️♥️
I pulled my daughter out of here a couple of months ago from the infant classroom. Everybody was always nice to me and as far as I know, kind to my daughter as well. However, there were major issues with this place. My biggest problem being that the babies are kept strapped in bouncers or put in cribs all day. Never once did I walk in to find the babies allowed to be on the floor to play. My daughter was also never actually fed her bottles, they just handed them to her while she was strapped into the bouncer and since she couldn’t hold her own bottles, they would just spill all over her and ruin her clothes. (I did not figure this out until the week I pulled her out.) I witnessed an employee slap a baby’s hand one day because the baby grabbed a cord and didn’t listen when told “no.” But it’s a baby!!! They don’t understand and should never be physically disciplined for anything at that age. Whoever the teacher was in the front room when you first walked in would also constantly yell at the kids and had a nasty attitude toward them, this was every single time I walked in to pick up my child. The facility would also randomly close at least once or twice a month with barely any notice just so they could get a three day weekend, leaving me to scramble to find somebody to watch her so I can work. I would often have to miss work because they would only give us 3-4 days notice. By 4:30 her teachers would be gone and my baby would be put with the bigger kids with her bag by the door, it felt like they were rushing the kids out the door and just wanted them gone. I waited this long to write a review because it honestly broke my heart that I allowed my baby to stay there for as long as I did. I never realized how bad Angel Academy really was until we spent time at the new daycare we chose. The daycare that she is in now genuinely loves my girl. They send me pictures of her all day long every day when they don’t have to, she is ALWAYS playing with a bunch of toys, her clothes have never once gotten ruined, they feed her all of her bottles, they stay until closing time no matter what, and go above and beyond by even buying her her own toys to go home with (something I never expected.) They do personalized enrichment activities with her that actually help her learn and grow! They also don’t close whenever they want for a 3 day weekend, all of their closed days are put on a yearly calendar and they otherwise only close for true emergencies. They are also significantly cheaper than Angel Academy. I’m sure that not everybody that works at Angel Academy is bad, but I witnessed enough to know that not everybody there needs to work with children. That is not a job you take just for a paycheck, it is a job that matters and you have to have a passion for what you do. I hope this company realizes that their jobs are to help shape children into functional and emotionally stable people, and does whatever they have to do to get on the right track. I understand that worse things happen at daycares, but none of this was acceptable. I regret not asking more questions and raising awareness sooner, but this has been weighing on my heart and I wanted to make other parents aware of how things are ran here.
Well cared for , Clean and classrooms are equip and organized. Staff is caring and friendly. Mangers works with parents pay schedules.
AMAZING! Thats the first word I think of when I think of this place. I was placed on a business trip via Army with no care for my 6 month old. Angel Academy stepped in and saved the day. I was such a nervous wreck simply because I was unsure how my baby boy would interact with new people. Mrs. Dawn and her staff was very welcoming and made me feel very present with her system, ProCare. Ms. Jaslyn greeted my baby with a warm hug and from that point on I knew that he was in safe hands. The facility is spotless with smiling faces throughout. If you are looking for childcare in the area, please make this your first stop.
