What Parents Say
Amodestri Childcare & Academy receives mostly 5-star reviews praising the passionate staff, educational development, and family-like atmosphere. However, two 1-star reviews report concerns about child safety, lack of educational documentation, and director behavior.
I absolutely love my experience with Amodestri. It’s refreshing when I go into the facility to see the level of passion that the Owner, Director, and Teachers have when interacting with the students. My grandson is absolutely thrilled to go to school every day (which says a lot because he tends to cling to me). His face absolutely lights up and he’s excited upon pick up to tell me about his activities for the day. I have recommended Amodestri to other family members and/or folks looking for expert care. I feel that my grandson and myself are both valued and I can’t rave enough. Huge thank you to the staff!
I started my child here at 10 months, by the age of 2 she was counting and saying her abcs as well as trying to write her name. She knew her colors and shapes and was very well social with people and kids from her experience there. Had the pandemic not hit she would have stayed until she started kindergarten at 6. Ms. Thomas and the teachers are professional, caring, and very intuitive to the needs and advancements for the kids. They genuinely were and still are family to us and we are very blessed to have had the opportunity and nurturing we received with Amodestri. I would recommend to anyone that wants a great learning environment and quality care for their kids.
Amodestri is a great place for childcare services. My daughter attended Amodestri for over 6 years and Ms. Nekeya treated her as if she was her child. She has an excellent development plan for children entering Pre-k and kindergarten. I definitely would recommend Amodestri!
I had a terrible experience. My child learned absolutely nothing at school. She came home with cuts and bruises the director nor teachers could explain. The director had to review the tapes in order to tell me how she got her cuts. The answer was an older child bumped into her during a dance play session. Typically, kids are seperated by size and age. Okay so they aren't teaching her, they aren't watching her- what ARE they doing? The director is money driven and makes her decisions accordingly. The director seemed exhausted by my child and was happy to see me pick her up. That was odd because every time you come in, you see her chasing after her own son. He's under five and does whatever he wants in all spaces of the facility. She has no control over him and focuses her attention on him. Things are subject to change at any time. She initially said she would work with me with my work time schedule but did not follow through on that commitment. She became increasingly impatient about having to open at 6:30 versus 7- which was a term of my contract. They have to wear uniforms after they are a year old. Where am I supposed to buy uniforms for a 1 year old girl? And why if you aren't teaching her anything? I started asking for the sheets that tell you what your child has done all day she said she will start giving them to me, but she usually doesn't do them because no one else cares about their child enough to want one. She never gave me one. My daughter now goes to the childcare network in locust grove. I love it! The first day, she came back knowing a new song. I have papers that tell me what she does in school. I have incident reports. All of the staff are pleasant and welcome my child when she walks through the door and genuinely care about her.
I am pleased with the services provided by Amodestri. My child is very active, and Amodestri provides a classroom experience unimaginable in a public school. I am looking forward to my child growing with Amodestri. I feel that my child will be very prepared for Kindergarten.
