What Parents Say
Alphabet Tree receives highly polarized reviews. Five parents praise the clean facilities, enrichment activities, caring staff, and owner Joanne's flexibility and family-like atmosphere. However, four parents report serious concerns including inadequate staffing, dismissive ownership, inappropriate diagnostic suggestions outside professional scope, alleged safety incidents with lack of transparency, and poor quality care for older children.
This daycare is the epitome of mediocre. I wasn’t concerned for my kids’ safety here, but it felt like leaving them in a prison. This place is truly not adequate or stimulating enough for children over the age of 3. The owner pretends to be caring, but is an elderly woman that is tired and stuck in her ways. You can tell that the lead teacher for the older class is also unhappy and not very friendly after you initially enroll your children there. The staff here is tired and unhappy. When I asked too many questions about what my children were doing during the day, the owner said “She doesn’t like complaints” and asked me to find another daycare for my children ( 5 and 3 years old). Truly mediocre and sad. Poor quality childcare.
I am so impressed with my daughters school! First off the school is spotless. From drop off at 7am to pick up at 4pm the classroom is always clean. I love the monthly calendar and the amazing activities that are offered! Dance, computer, and yoga are offered once a week. My daughter has leanered so much and we still have a year to go! The staff is caring and knowledgeable. The owner Joanne makes you feel comfortable and apart of the family. She is so easy to work with and felexible. I can’t say enough and we are so happy we found this amazing gem in our community!
After hearing from other parents that they were having similar issues we were all able to find a loving and compassionate daycare for our littles away from this place. The owner is cold and tried to diagnose my child with a disorder which is wayyy outside her scope of practice. Luckily with a new provider we astonishingly havent had ANY issues. Joanne had us jumping through hoops to get a diagnosis for our child for a problem that didnt even exist! The amount of stress my husband and I endured still hurts my heart. Im so grateful to have found a provider who is passionate about working with kids on an individual level and not just trying to get them meds and a diagnosis. My kids felt the bad vibes from this place and made it known from the moment she was forced into a room with the owner.
My daughter has attended day care, summer camp and then the extended day program for school-aged children. We have always been very happy with the care our daughter received in a family-like, home-y, environment. In pre-school, there were a ton of enrichment opportunities, such as yoga and dance and two huge playgrounds. During the summer, there's an on-site pool (with lifeguards), field trips and special guests/activities (i.e. tumble bus, wild bird show, etc.) nearly every day. The staff is caring and attentive, and the cost is reasonable. In the eight years we've been at Alphabet Tree, we have never had a negative experience.
Love this daycare and love the staff. Very loving, caring and very affordable. My son has sensory processing disorder and anxiety. The staff works well with him and he feels very comfortable there. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
