When we first inquired about Alphabet Ranch we were told great things. My daughter would not only be in an age appropriate class she would have structure and curriculum to help her grow and learn before she starts kindergarten. After a month here we were asked if she could be moved up a class because she was more advanced and wasn't progressing with the kids around her and we were thrilled. Sadly this never happened. She was put where ever whenever to make their numbers work even spending time in the baby room and shes FOUR! They put kids wherever is convenient for them so they can fill as many spots as possible and the sanitation there is absolutely appalling! You can smell urine and poop as you walk in to sign your child in and out They have no structure it's more of a play place for your child than anything. They dont work on basics such as writing your name, learning your alphabet or even numbers. My child comes home almost daily notifying me she didn't nap because she was in charge of helping her teacher put other children to sleep again she is only FOUR. My daughter is constantly in a teacher type roll which I am paying them to do and the amount of hitting bitting and inappropriate behavior that goes on here is ridiculous. State is there so often I'm surprised they haven't been shut down yet. The owner herself is hardly there and when she is she doesn't have a clue what's going on. I've had to take receipts back to her multiple times because she's tried to double bill me and her excuse is "sorry I must have messed up the books". If you are looking for a place where your child can have a free for all the entire time your at work this might be a good fit. However if you're looking for a place your child can be safe, have fun, and LEARN I highly suggest you take them else where. Since my daughter has been here there have been multiple citations to the teachers and the school and in the past month I've seen 3 different staff members come and go. I will never reccomend this place they take your money and laugh in your face there is no benefits to this place and sadly I have to give them one star and they dont deserve it. They are beyond unprofessional
I love this place. My son went here from the age of two until he started school. He loves his teachers, and they really seem to care about him. The ladies at Alphabet Ranch are wonderful and really understand children. They were great with appropriately punishing negative behavior and positively reinforcing good behavior
My wife and I were referred to this place when we needed childcare since I was planning on returning to work (I was injured from a previous worksite and had finally been offered a place willing to accommodate my injury which is pretty hard to get). We are a blended family and my stepson has special needs so ensuring a placement close to his school that was not using the school bus due to concerns of prior bullying was most important. At first, this place advertises that they have transportation, what they do not tell you is that it is the local school district providing it, not Alphabet Ranch! I was surprised, but we began working with the local school on establishing an IEP in hopes of securing a special education bussing due to bullying issues that reemerged once my son began to take the bus to this care center. That first of all is not Alphabet Ranch's fault aside from the false advertising that they provide transportation to and from Pioneer Elementary (Twin Rivers Unified School District does and I have since written a letter to the school district with concerns regarding a local business claiming this on their website). What concerns me is how Aplhabet Ranch's staff belittled my wife when I picked up my son on the first day. As a blended family, we were required to write down any and all who may pick up our son. They mocked this, made fun of how may people and the restrictions that were made that certain people could not pick up on certain days as according to a normal custody arrangement. I felt as if I had been transported to the 1950s with how they made fun of my wife. It was very insulting! My brother was the main person to pick up my stepson. He never had to show Identification once. He works for a local school district as a child development provider and was shocked and appalled by this and the cleanliness of the infant room. You should not be smelling human urine when you walk into the entry area to sign in/out a child. To top it all off, we never to this day received invoices even after requesting. When we decided to pull our son out of their after school program, at first they refused to assist with us until we talked to the office lady. This is unacceptable. To make it more inexcusable, we wrote a check the following week on the wrong checkbook, when the error was realized that afternoon, my wife called and spoke with the office head and stated a new check was being brought over, to which was agreed. What my wife didn't realize is as she was on the phone, the office admin cashed the check! The head then tried to make the excuse that she didn't know what family the check was for despite our child's name being written on the check. When I wrote a similar review on Nextdoor, within 12 hours my phone was blown up by calls and voicemails from Alphabet ranch. If the owner is reading this, do not call me. At this point, its harassment. If I could give you 0 stars I would. Advice for the owner: If you paid staff more, you might be able to recruit/retain better staff that don't belittle your clients. Also treat others the way you want to be treated and be honest - provide invoices when requested. Also train staff to be able to handle enrollment/unenrollment, etc.
Nice daycare very safe place very homey i guess the kids enjoy it
