Alphabest Education

Absolutely terrible care. I wish more than anything that something else would become available in my area. They give the kids pictures of GUNS for coloring sheets. Their app goes down and now no one can use their services but they still charge you. They constantly lose paperwork and refuse to respond to emails or phone calls. I cannot wait for my child to move to middle school just so we can get away from alphabest. Such a waste of money and our poor kids are suffering.

The review from 6 years ago is accurate. If your child requires anything outside of being told to sit down and shut up, this is not the place for your child. They have an average of 4 staff members for up to 30 kids. They texted me one day (there was a behavioral issue with my son they failed to tell me about until the next day) saying I needed to pay today or my son couldn't attend tomorrow. They always have their hands out for cash but not the kids. There is no reason my son has a great day in school for 7 hours then comes to AlphaBest and there are issues. The staff is always dumbfounded and acting as though the children do things for no reason. Children are not malicious on purpose - there is a reason behind actions but if the staff are overwhelmed and undertrained, what good could they offer to the students. I will avoid them in the future.

My experience was great. My son has behavioral issues and maybe an issue like ADHD. The Alphabest staff at Triangle Elementary, mainly the director Ms.Jackson was great with my son. He had some trouble on the beginning. But I loved that she took the time and energy to learn my son and figure out how to deal with him. I felt the love from her. I seen it in my son as well because anytime she was absent he felt her absent. That’s when he gave me a harder time with drop off. I also work in childcare and to be straight up they did better with him than my establishment.

Worst customer service. My kid is in pwcs SACC. I don’t know why pwcs is still providing them inspite of bad reviews/ratings.

If you're looking for someone to just keep your kid alive before or after school, then these folks will fit the bill. The people they have working at the schools have no training in education of child behind what little is offered when they are hired. The staff at the schools are lazy, only pay attention to the kids they like or after a problem has developed. And their go-to strategy for dealing with problems is suspensions, for elementary age kids. It is a revolving door all year of unqualified, unskilled young adults that are there to get a pay check and little else. And good luck ever getting the main office to answer a phone if you have a question or concern. The only good thing about AlphaBest is their payment website is always happy to take your money. Do yourself a favor and find a better place for you kids. Prince William County Schools really did the tax payers a disservice when they awarded the contract to this organization. And they do not hold them accountable for their actions at the schools. It was well worth the money to move my children to another after school program that offered a structured environment that pays attention to the kids and has a goal of providing value added to the before and after school experience. AlphaBest has none of this. Buyer beware!
