I had a child in the infant room, the first thing I did in fact notice after she started was the smell, it was very musty and it really smelled as if it had not been cleaned and I had a bad feeling about it but since I loved Emily (only there in the morning) I just let it go. Also, there were times I would walk in and the floor was nasty that the infants were on. Next my baby stayed sick! I understand that newborns pick up everything but in the short time that she was there (a little over a month or right at it), she had 2 stomach bugs & hand foot & mouth. I get 1 stomach bug but hand foot & mouth I really didn't understand a 3 month old getting....after speaking with a few people, neither did they & they even questioned my taking her there and then a week later she contracted another stomach bug. The 3rd thing was there was 1 person that was unnecessarily rude to my husband and he has to be the most laid back person I know and it seemed to really bother him so we felt we needed to look elsewhere at that point. We pulled her out 5 months ago & they just deposited our check a week ago and I felt that we should have had some sort of warning. If the check was lost, fine, we would have been more than happy to bring another up there. Given it was so long, I feel like a phone call even text would have been a nice thing to do.... Since we have found a new daycare and she has been health & happy. My husband and I are so much happier since we have made this move, that right there makes me wish I would have made the move sooner.

Debra runs a fantastic facility. The caregivers/teachers are all phenomenal! Our 2 year old has been there over a year and loves everyone. Debra takes care of any concerns right away, and takes care of her families! We love Almost Home!

I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Luckly I only needed temporary child care for a little over a week. The place just had a very closed off, dark, and confined feeling. My kids are not picky eaters at all but all I heard were complaints about the food. Oranges, which is a favorite of my son, were bad. The chicken was hard. Another day it was they only had one slice of bread and one slice of meat as their sandwich for lunch. Their snack was just a few animal crackers. They came home hungry everyday asking for something to eat. It's like they are being stingy with the food cost. The kids also complained that they didn't have many toys to play with. And only one time did they come home telling me about an activity they did. They made slime. That was it. I so wish Young Childens learning center had an opening when I needed. My one son went there a few years ago and the difference is unbelievable. Do your children a favor and find somewhere else.

A student teacher quit because the director of the center made her feel uncomfortable by calling a student a “rotten cotton picker”. I will never send my children there and I wouldn’t want anyone else to send their either. As a parent I try to shield most of the hatred in this world from my children while they’re still very young , I shouldn’t have to worry about them being exposed to it at childcare.

I couldn’t ask for better childcare! I never worry at all during my work day which is a true blessing! My daughter is very happy there and I’m so amazed at what all she learns!
