This is the best daycare in the area. We moved from Frisco and quickly realized how hard it was to find reputable daycares in the area. We were so lucky to find Almost Grandmas by so many referrals and getting in as they always have waitlist because of the care they provide. From day 1 my son was treated as one of their own children. The teachers were great and so caring with all the kids. They really helped my son through all stages and he became more social being there making friends. He would come home talking about how much he loved his teachers. He would give them hugs everytime he left and would not want to leave at the end of the day. The director Sharla had great communication and always willing to talk about situations with my son and work through some tough times. We even had a teacher that came to my sons birthday party on her day off because she cared so much and made my sons day when he saw her there. We did recently place him in another daycare due to our own decision because of some behavior issues and with hopes maybe a change would relieve some of those issues in hopes of going back to Almost Grandmas once he realizes what he is missing where he was. Before even starting he is talking about how much he misses his teacher Mrs. Kat and Sharla. It was such a hard emotional decision because I know how much they care and the impact theyve had on my son. Sharla has even called me to check in because it was hard on them also because they care so much about the kids. This is so rare to find nowdays of daycares that truly care about the childs wellbeing and feelings. Thats exactly what parents want for their child is to feel part of a family when being cared for during the day. I cant say enough good things about Almost Grandmas they have been so great with communication and ensuring we are aware of struggles and working through those with me and my husband to ensure my son had the best experience and his needs were met. My son was in the best hands here and rarely got sick which wasnt the case when we were in Frisco. They were able to help him through the stage of not sharing, and hitting friends and we have seen a great improvement in his attitude in those situations. We are so hopeful that he will realize what he is missing and be ready to go back to his second home at Almost Grandmas once he realizes he can control his temper tantrums and how much love the teachers showed him and misses all his friends. It says alot when you are having behavior struggles with your child and make a decision jointly with a daycare to try something new but knowing you are welcome back and they want to continue working through the tough stage because they care for your child that much. Only family would be willing to do that and that is exactly what Almost grandmas is to us and will always hold a place in my heart for everything they have done. I would highly recommend this daycare if you are wanting your child to be in good hands and a loving daycare that is just like leaving them with a family member and knowing they will be in such a great environment they ask not to leave because they enjoy it so much.
I used to be a stay at home mom but financially we weren’t able to do that anymore. It was THE HARDEST thing for me to have my son go to daycare. I was scared and worried about him. From the very first day of him going here all of my worried went away. My son has absolutely loved it here. They really treat the kids as if they were their own. If I ever had a problem I could bring it up and talk with the director. My son has never once cried when I would drop him off and is always happy when I pick him up. He is so happy to show us his pictures he’s “colored/scribbled” on. They make sure that they think of every kid when it comes to sickness. So especially with everything going on now that makes me feel fine sending him. I highly recommend here.
My kids have been attending daycare at Almost Grandmas for almost 10 years now. I have referred numerous friends and family to Almost Grandma’s over the last 10 years and have yet to find one who didn’t absolutely love it. Mrs. Sharla, the daycare coordinator, is truly the best. She is always willing to listen when I have a concern or question. She takes the state requirements very seriously and is always prepared for a random visit. Her dedication to the daycare and care for the children that attend is why my kids still go there and will continue to go there. I see horror stories in the news about daycares who drug, beat and neglect kids and I know for a fact that would never happen there. Mrs. Sharla and all of our favorite girls at Almost Grandmas love my kids as their own. My family is so blessed & thankful to have them in our lives!
My child has been going to Almost Grandma’s from birth and will be 4 soon, we have had an amazing experience. She loves all the staff and asks to go to daycare even on weekends, there is no better review than a toddler. I can’t say enough good things, we highly recommend to everyone!
Almost Grandma's is the BEST childcare facility! From the infant rooms to the pre-school, we've received nothing but the best care. I am thoroughly impressed with all of the teachers that we have had and am amazed at how much my 3 year old has learned in his time there. They are easy to communicate with and the staff truly loves the kids as their own.
