What Parents Say
Allandale Early Learning receives highly mixed reviews. Most parents praise the newer management (Paxton and Amanda), staff friendliness, cleanliness, and quality of care, with many giving perfect ratings. However, several parents report concerns about billing accuracy, excessive illness-related dismissals based on questionable temperature readings, insufficient supervision, and poor staff responsiveness to complaints.
This is now called It Takes a Village Early Learning Center. This daycare is looking for excuses to send your child home. They try to get the most amount of money for the least amount of work. They will check your child’s temperature every two hours and send them home. They will say that your child has a fever of 100.5. But when you get home and check it less than 30 minutes later, it will be back to normal. When concerns about this are mentioned, the Director will tell you “our thermometers are better than any doctors office or anything you can buy.“ The thermometer they use is the Walmart brand that they put underneath the armpit. They do not want to watch your child. They will send your child home with food and snot all over their face. It makes you question the level of care that your child receives. They do not care about these concerns because they have you on rotation. If you decide to pull them out, who cares? They will have somebody else in your spot by Monday and they will still get their money. Just beware of all this. They truly do not care about the inconvenience that it places on you and your family. They just don’t want to do their job. I outlined all my concerns when I unenrolled my son. They did not care enough to even respond. Please do your research and find somewhere else that truly cares about and for your child. This daycare is only interested in how much money they can bring in.
Had two children visit here. The rate we received for both children did not reflect the hours that they were there. Most of the staff were very friendly though except for the woman who made a scene and yelled about having to use one of their diapers when I forgot to bring one for a two hour period. The play areas were clean and age appropriate. One of our children did get bitten by another child. Seems as if there aren't enough eyes on the children at this particular daycare
We had a bad experience with Allandale day care. Our son went there 6 weeks and they called us 4 times almost for nothing. 3 times they told us our son has pink eye, when we rushed there; he was fine and playing. The front desk lady Gina, she is very rude. I don't recommend anyone this day care. Our son goes First Presbyterian Children's day care and we love it.
My daughter and my son both go their, and i feel safe leaving both my children in their care. I know my son is a handful- but have no doubt he is receiving the best care in there hands! I would recommend their facility 100%!
The newest owners are amazing(Paxton and Amanda), the people who previously ran this facility were hateful and rude. I wish my kids could still go here but they are school age now. I will never trust another daycare the way I trust them, they are truly amazing people.
